“Much more than just a meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

We dined at La Oliva because of the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor and the warm response to our email enquiries by Don Francisco, the owner. Since there are only a few tables at this hidden gem, reservations are advisable. In addition to a great multicourse tasting experience, Don Francisco offers a unique "education" on the wines, olives and oils, cheeses, and jamons of Andalucia. He is a charming and delightful host who is very knowledgeable about Spanish food, wine, and culture, and provides a wonderful and unique dining experience for his fortunate guests!

“Our gastronomic highlight of Granada; also Francisco is a gentleman”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2012

Spectacular 15 course tasting menu for 6-8 guests after hours in an olive oil shop, delightfully hosted by the owner Francisco to intricate detail, who modestly says that it is just typical Andalusian food he had growing up. There is nothing typical about this. The meal was splendid top to bottom (highlights: delicious olive oil varieties, fantastic sea bream, incredible sea salt/olive oil chocolate ice cream). Notes: arrive on time as it starts right at 7 PM (one member was late and Francisco, the gentleman that he is, cooked all the missed dishes for our late party); the olive oils and desserts are on sale in the shop should you want to purchase it. Time: about 2.5 hours -- we were able to arrive after the afternoon visit to the Alhambra, and leave on time to see the night visit of the Nasarid Palaces. I would not miss this in Granada! At all! Cost -- 35 euros.

“A Foodies delight!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

Oh my goodness , what an absolute delight, faultless from start to finish. Francisco is delightful and so knowledgeable, the food was wonderful. The wines perfectly accompanied the tastings.
We visited this venue with our friends on our first visit to Granada and have been playing "remember all the courses" ever since! Have also tried to decide which was my particular favourite but probably have to plump for the bacalao and also the spinach with prawns dish, but only if i really had to pick two - otherwise EVERYTHING!, Can't wait to return with our daughter. Great value too. Thank you Francisco

“Don't miss this opportunity!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012 via mobile

I'm going to keep this short as there are lots of 'wordy' reviews, should you want more detail. We had the most wonderful evening with Francisco and his charming helpers. It was an assault on the senses and if you are truly interested in food, then don't miss this unique experience. Worthy of its number 1 spot!
