We went to this restaurant with friends whose daughter is currently living in Granada so we knew it came recommended. The atmosphere was just great - the staff were very friendly, the food was first class and excellent value. I can recommend the mushroom rissotto and my husband loved the tiramisu. Will, the talented chef, comes from Derbyshire and has a good sense of humour too. All in all can highly recommend and would definitely return.

We spent four nights in Granada and ended up here for three of them - once just for a calming cocktail after eating at one of Granada's many tourist-traps and getting thoroughly ripped off. Decent tapas bars are surprisingly hard to find in Granada and this has to be one of the best. The tasty little free dishes you get with your drink are often served in the traditional clay pots and are always very good. You can also order larger meals if you want to, but to be honest the tapas are terrific value for money so they're pretty hard to pass up. The staff are really friendly and speak several languages between them. On busy nights the place has the atmosphere of a true Spanish drinking haunt and on quieter nights there are cosy couches to hang out on and chat. Can't recommend the place highly enough. Thanks Miles.

While on a two-day visit to Granada – and after an unsatisfactory dining experience in the picturesque but tourist-trappy Bib Rambla plaza – we went looking for this restaurant, prompted by the good TripAdvisor reviews and equipped with a print-out map. Narrow cobbled streets in the university area led us at lunchtime to the blue-fronted Casa Lopez Correa shortly after its owner Sue had opened its doors. Our brief sample of tasty tapas, some crisp white wine and an eclectic and delicious cheese-board was enough to decide us to book a dinner table for two.
When we turned up that evening the place was buzzing, and we soon found out why. The food here is exceptional, the service is ultra-friendly and the value is amazing. We had two (more!) glasses of white wine with a starter salad in which all the ingredients were garden-fresh. It had avocado, mozzarella, tomatoes, mixed leaves and several other ingredients that would have fed four! For our mains we had salmon and merlusa, both done to perfection and accompanied by mouth-watering sauces. With them we had assorted fresh vegetables (and even carrots sound more exotic in Spanish). Oh yes, we also had a bottle of Rioja tinto. We thought we’d skip dessert and just have coffee, but were tempted to try the Tiramisu. Two huge slices of gorgeous cake and cream arrived, upon which the diners at the adjacent table, who had been about to depart, decided instead to have the same! A very wise decision.
All in all, this meal – along with the great atmosphere in the place – was among the best we’ve enjoyed in Spain (or elsewhere). And the best was yet to come: our bill came to just over €50.

My family and I have now been going to Granada a few years, and every time we go back to Casa Lopex Correa! The food is the best in all of Andalucia and the staff the friendliest!! The atmosphere is lovely, I would definitely recommend a visit or two during your stay in Granada.

We ate at Casa Lopez Correa this evening and everything was very fresh and delicious. We had the gazpacho soup, a salad, mushroom risotto, entrecôte and pasta with pesto sauce. Our son ate more than at any meal while in Spain. We wanted to try a dessert as well but lost track of time talking to the owner Sue (we had evening tickets to Alhambra) and had to run. If we ever make it back to Granada, we will stop in again.
