The sheer scale of the cathedral and the nearby crypt with the graves of Fernadno & Isabel make this an essential visit in any tour of Granada. Look out for the opening hours as it is shut most of the afternoon

“Granada Cathedral”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Worth a visit but check the opening times carefully. Entrance is not well sign posted so look for it round the back. Ticket is 4 euros and includes entrance to two other places but we only had time to do the Cathedral.

“Huge Cathedral with a lot to see”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

This Spanish Renaissance cathedral is huge and absolutely absolutely gorgeous; there are side chapels as well, one of which holds the remains of Queen Isabella (of Columbus' 1492 fame) and her husband King Ferdinand. In this chapel is also beautiful sculpture and paintings, of unexpected quality. Well worth a visit.
Good Friday service at the cathedral was a mystical, magical experience--all in Spanish.

“Worth A Look”
Reviewed April 10, 2013 via mobile

The cathedral is definitely worth a stop if your in Granada as part of your hols. Entry was €4 which I personally do not have a problem with as it all goes to the restoration and upkeep. So Ok it's another cathedral, but each one is different in some way, this one surprisingly spacious and the double pipe organ was an interesting item one on each side of the main isle. There was quite a bit of restoration work taking place at the main alter so expect to see very little of this at he moment. Marble columns and the wall carvings worth a look.

Leave a lot a time when visiting. Beautiful architecture with impressive columns and golden organ. Appears to be saturated with light. Very tranquil place - moreso when renovations have been completed. Lots to see around this area generally.
