“Simply Breathtaking!!”

This citadel is an amazing site, it is a must see for anyone traveling to Garanada and I would even say Andalusia region of spain. The mix of middle eastern and european architecture is amazing. You will spend most of your day here so get there early. Also it is essential to book your tickets early as the line ups get really long and will eat into your time visiting the sites. Not to be missed!!!

“texans at the Alhambra”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

The Alhambra is the last and greatest Moorish palace, in Spain. The centuries old structure is in excellent condition. The vibrant, colorful tile work and sculptured archways are breathtaking. The sculptured ceilings, frescos and ceramics (Islamic art) are amazing. And let me not forget the amazing courtyards and reflecting pools, the fantastic flower gardens; all a must-see.
There are 4 parts of the Alhambra to enjoy: The Palacios Navaries (main must-see sight), Charles V's Palace, the General life gardens and the old fort, the Alcazaba. A view at the top offers amazing views of the city.

Tha Alhambra is an amazing place full of history and I would also said mystery. The constructions are phenomenal, the colors and the green areas make you feel a magic momentum. If you go to Granada you must visit the Alhambra. You have to book a tour. Guided tours are available in many languages.

“Avoid one key error in buying tickets”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

We arrived from marbella and stayed at Alhambra palace (delightful) had a top class lunch and then headed over to alhambra where had bought tickets to generalife. We went to la caxia print out area and got our tickets the day and for the palace the next morning for 2 adults and 1 teenage and one child 11. We spend 3 hours wandering the grounds. The next morning we entered via side entrance and went to tower where we discover one ticket was missing a bar code, we thought it was a machine error. I was told to go back to main entrance whilst other family members went into palace. It turns out if you get a discounted ticket you have to prove your age, but anyway i got a replacement ticket and rushed back to get in before by time slot ended. I thought breaking it up into two visits was good way to see the place. The gardens did have alot of weeds but was still a great experience.

“Incredible! A Must See!”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

I was so impressed by the architecture and the gardens. It is impossible to describe all that you will find at the Alhambra. The tile work, layout of the gardens, the history of how it was created will leave you speechless. At times it was overwhelming to attempt to follow all the intricate use of tile. It was amazing! The Moors influenced so much of Spain's culture and language and Spain in turn influenced so much of Latin America and the southwestern part of the United States. I so very much enjoyed visiting the origins of such things as talavera tiles, acequias and gardens that are now find in New Mexico. The people in Granada were very friendly and helpful.
