The Alhambra is clearly the gem of Granada! With beautiful views all-around and pristine gardens, this is really worth the ticket price. Be sure to get your tickets in advance online, though!
There is a bus that can take you up and down the big hill, though the walk up is pretty. It can be confusing as to where exactly the entrance is when you're walking, so the bus might be a better option if you're on a time crunch. Leave yourself plenty of time to get to the Nasrid Palace, as it is a 10-15 minute walk from the ticket collection area and you should get there 10 or so minutes in advance.
The plus side to this system is that it prevents overcrowding in the palace-- a very good idea. Helped keep the experience peaceful and allowed us to take photographs without having to elbow people or worry about waiting for a long time. It did create a bit of stress when trying to get there, however.
Picking up our tickets was easy, but the audioguides were a bit tricky (and the €20 deposit for them a bit ridiculous if you dont keep all that much cash on you!). They were also very heavy, which was unfortunate but probably unavoidable. The grounds themselves were beautiful, though the Nasrid palace was a lot of the same throughout and took more time than it was really worth. The views are really the most amazing part, and be sure not to miss the views from the furthest most point (not the Generalife but the other one-- I cannot remember what it is called at the moment).
Stunning and well worth it! Also, the cats make for a cute addition.
