“Fantastic service, tiny room”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Let's start with the pluses: fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, immaculate room & a stunning view of the Alhambra from the roof. I have only 1 real complaint, but it's considerable: the "apartment" my husband, 2 children (ages 6 & 9) & I shared was so small, we hardly fit in it. We're not big people & we travel light. Thankfully we had only 2 small bags among the 4 of us; had each of us brought a suitcase, we & our belongings wouldn't have fit in our tiny room. A second, lesser quibble is that the bottle of wine left for us on the kitchen counter wasn't complimentary. I've traveled in Spain quite a bit & have stayed in a variety of hotels. This is the ONLY one I've ever been to that charges guests for wine left in the room. This bit of info is noted in the binder in the room. Glad we read it before popping the bottle open. I'd stay here again, but I'd request a larger apartment if I'm traveling with anyone other than my husband. Additionally, I'd get my wine for a better price at the alimentación down the hill.

Room Tip: Inquire about the size of your room. I recommend asking for measurements.

It was our first time in Granada and we spent a couple of nights at these apartments.
The location, in Albayzin, is the best to explore this part of town with nice views on the Alhambra and at walking distance from plenty of restaurants and cafes.

The staff is super helpful and friendly. We were welcomed by Isabel, who was a 'back-up' for the permanent staff and she was great at all times. She helped us booking a flamenco show in Sacromonte which was fantastic.

We were upgraded to a new apartment they have on a separate building, at Carrera del Darro st., which is bigger than the rooms on the main building and is just on the river below the Alhambra, there is nothing in between the terrace and the Alhambra. The trade-off of being in this apartment is that we did not have WiFi connection, which was not a very big issue for us, but is worth considering (we could go to the main building anytime we wanted, it is a 3min walk)

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main building if you want WiFi

An lovely little place at the heart of Granada. Clean and comfortable rooms with good facilities and free wifi. The location is excellent, with only a short walk to all the sights of interest. The service was first class and very friendly. It has a great view of the Alhambra from the terrace, including a telescope! Highly recommended and very good value.

We stayed 2 nights and really recommend this hotel. The staff is super friendly and will ensure that your stay is fantastic. It was our first time in Granada and based upon reviews we decided to stay in the Albayzín district which is the best location to stay in Granda. The rooms are perfectly decorated and comfortable and the view from the rooftop terrace is unbelievable. We spend a few hours each evening enjoying a glass of cava and watching the light of the Alhambra change as dusk turned to night. Have the hotel arrange for a taxi to pick you up from the airport as the streets to the hotel are very narrow and some taxis wont take you all the way. I have recommended this hotel to friends and will continue to do so as we really enjoyed our stay.

Your taxi goes through narrow, narrow streets and stops and points up hill. Yes, there is a white building that has the name on it, so maybe this is the place. This place is really old with a whole new workover that appears modern when you walk up the glass staircase to your room. Pleasant, english speaking staff put you at ease. The room was a bit small, but for European standards, very adequate. A kitchenette (really small) provides you with coffee in the am to take up to the roof and see the sights (which will blow you away). It looks like the Alhambra is within one block, just across the river, but let me assure you it's a lot further than that. The staff were very gracious and let us call America when they heard we had a family emergency. The wifi is good, but skype just couldn't get the message accross. We'd love to stay there again!

We've just come back from a wonderful trip in Andalusia. During the visit in Granada we appreciated very, very much to stay in the Apartments Ahalmbra. They are in Albaycin but not too far from Granada center. The sight from the terrace is amazing. If I came back to Granada for sure I'd stay again!! Moreover many thanks to the landlady: she is very kind and able to understand customer's needs.

We stayed several days to explore the city and visit the Alhambra, reached through very narrow streets the taxi dropped us off a few minutes away. Very friendly reception indeed, a real help to us planning our onward journey. It's about the oldest place we've ever stayed in, a converted medieval tower but renovated with care and with a stunning rooftop level overlooking the Alhambra place to sit and watch the sun set. We had one of the smaller apartments but it had everything we needed including soft drinks and water included in the price, topped up everyday when required. Tea,coffee and milk are also in the apartment which saved us money buying coffee in a bar with half the view we got from the roof terrace. Great local bars around for food and the walk to Alhambra entrance took us 20 minutes, make sure you book well in advance to see it.
