On our recent trip to Granada we visited the cafe every morning for breakfast. We tried the Chocolate con Churros, the French toast with bacon, the pancakes and the sausages. All were clearly fresh and tasted delicious. We looked forward to breakfast every morning! Staff were helpful and very efficient. Love it!

The Gran Cafe is in great location for people watching. Churros and chocolate were good and you don't feel rushed by the friendly serving staff. If you would prefer to sit inside in air conditioned comfort, the Gran Cafe is a particularly good choice.

Can't speak highly enough about the Gran Cafe. Its always a good sign when plenty of the customers are clearly local people not tourists. That said we were trated superbly on both visits by different members of staff. They serve the most wonderful rich dark chocolate to accompany beautiful light and fresh churro's. We also had Pan Con Tomate which set us up perectly for the mornings sightseeing. With such good food and service its easy to see why this place has been in Granada since 1907 !

We visited this restaurant with the intention of having a fresh up in the outside seating. While we were trying to decide what to get, a nice American couple recommended us of what they ordered: hot chocolate and some kind of very delicate small cake (didn't remember the name) which is said to be a traditional, authentic Granada desert. Even though we weren't up for anything comes hot, we decided to give them a try given how tempting the combination appear. And we are not disappointed!!! The cream on the top of chocolate is very generous and delicious. Not sweet at all but still full of the flavor of milk. This is by far the best cream chocolate I've ever had (I'm a very picky cream lover). And my husband who's more of a chocolate lover couldn't be more satisfied with the chocolate at the half bottom in the cup. And the cake is very delicious as well, with a hint of cinnamon and creamy texture. We then also had lunch because we love the atmosphere and didn't feel like leaving soon. My husband's Spanish omelet is pretty great, not as dry as some others we've had at other places, mine fried calamari is also good but honestly nothing impressive (not the best but you don't really get bad calamari in Spain either). Overall, nice food, best ever cream chocolate. the must try desert and the comfy relaxing atmosphere, a very nice restaurant for anyone in Granada to give a stop by!

Visited this restaurant after reading other reviews here on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed with the choice. Our waiter was attentive and polite. They do a dinner deal for €15.90 which is for a three course meal and a choice of drinks which is very good value for central Granada. When laying the table cloth the waiter spotted a mark on it, apologised and went and got another one. I decided on the roast chicken and chips. The size of the portions was very good and very tasty and less than €10. Wife had a pizza which she could not finish. As we were having dinner and a couple the waiter returned with a small vase containing two carnations. Total cost for the two meals, two margaritas, two beers and a coffee was €39. Very reasonable. I would not hesitate in using this restaurant again.
