“gourmet in training”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

Interesting experience. Went for lunch, and the total bill of 72 euros was as much as we spent at any restaurant in Spain. The food was all very good, but doesn't quite hit the mark they are aiming at. The goal is gourmet in the Michelin star tradition. The result is good, but somehow not meeting the goal (the sauce and meat just don't quite match, venison is yummy and the right temperature, but doesn't melt in your mouth), you don't have any of those incredible colunary moments where you taste something completely different and in a whole new way. However, the price is 1/4 of lunch at a 3 star restaurant, the service is good, and the view is absolutely incredible. A great ending to a visit to the Alhambra. Tip: Lunch starts at 1:30.

“Fabulous food & setting.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

Went to this restaurant on the strength of Dorling Kindersley & Trip Advisor, & was not disappointed. Highly recommended. The waiter very helpfully steered us away from ordering the same starter but instead sharing two different ones; very helpful to us Brits! All the courses were of very high quality.

“WONDERFUL FOOD, SERVICE & VIEW”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012 via mobile

We recently were fortunate enough to have this restaurant recommended to us by our hotel desk clerk. The first meal we had was so delicious, we went back the second time. Had we stayed longer in Granada, we would have probably gone back again.

During our first dinner, our server Michael handled a full restaurant with patient but prompt service. While awaiting our first course, the chef delivered a delicious complimentary starter that he 'just felt like preparing' that day. That was just the beginning of an over-the-top meal from beginning to end.

Our next visit was just as outstanding.

The view was not anticipated but what an extra

Again, the server Michael was so helpful and has an attitude that makes you feel so special.

Don't miss this one!

“Terrace view of Grenada”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

A short walk from the Alhambra Palace Hotel!
Enter this warm wood interior restaurant and descend to the terrace for a magnificent view of Grenada.
Service is warm, attentive, and responsive. We drank local wine and ate regional food, bread, venison, fried anchovies, suckling pig, etc. All delicious. Finished with a traditional Roja spirit as a night cap. A memorable meal and location. Well worth seeking out.

“Excellent restaurant close to the Alhambra. Great food and and great views on the terrace overlooking the city.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012 via mobile

We stayed at the Alhambra Palace hotel and wanted a good restaurant close by. Just 300m away is the Carmen San Miguel. At first we could not find it as from the outside it looks like a house. However once inside it is very nicely decorated with a welcoming atmosphere. The tables are on a terrace looking out over the city. Fantastic spot to sit and dine. Food is superb and good value although not cheap. Portions are very generous and perfectly cooked. All together an excellent experience.
