A spending nearly 2-3 hrs on the road and spending a week in a quiet village we were both looking forward to Granada where it was meant to be a bit more exciting.
Cuevas Coloradas we had perviously booked ahead was of particular interest to us as the novelty of it being built from a cave sounded really cool.
Finding it for the first time was difficult as it requires parking the car in a car park thats about 10 mins walk away. You then dragging your bags have to find the place so id highly recommend bringing a detailed map and knowing the route exactly to take.
Be aware that like most of Granada its on a fairly steep hill so if you are not use to walking or have back problems avoid as each night we came back from the town the walk back knackered us each time and we are fairly young!
The Place its self is well laid out, bedding and furniture is well kept . On Arrival we were meant by the owner who lives not to far away from the place its self who showed us to our room and around the place . One thing that i will not forget and hope to show via the photos is the view is fantastic , it should after the hill we climbed! ;-)
I cant really fault the place , the only thing i would say is the the cave although nicely done is a little musky and dank. On the plus side if you are looking to avoid the really warm nights then its perfect for a night rest of you can live with the Muskyness.
The Kitchen is well kitted out and there are 2 bathrooms , both with showers.
I would recommend the place if you are ok with walking what could best be described as Cardiac hill and can sleep in a well fitted out bedroom cave that happens to be a bit musky then this is for you. Plus the view is fantastic.!
