I don't know what the normal price at this hotel is, but I paid 49 euros for a room in the adjoining hotel and was upgraded to this one. With breakfast included, a jacuzzi in the bathroom, large and comfortable room, free wifi, friendly staff, excellent location - I'd recommend it! I also highly commend the instructions for getting there. Driving in Granada almost always ends with a fine and the hotel knows this and gives very clear instructions - ignore them at your peril.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with a bath/jacuzzi if this is important. Another room had a walk-in power shower w...

The Palacio de Mariana Pineda is a friendly place with attentive staff and full of character. We arrived at close to midnight on a flight from Madrid and the concierge was waiting for us. They have a 24/7 reception. Room 303 was very well set up and we woke up with a view up to the Alcazaba of the Alhambra. We had breakfast and lunch in the dining room and the choice for lunch was excellent and good value. Plenty of power sockets, very useful for topping up our iPhones, run down after photographs at the Alhambra.

Room Tip: The Albaicin is a popular area with young people out partying so be prepared for some voices in the...

Stayed 1 nite in this friendly, quaint, with lots of charm, centrally located Hotel. Even before we arrived we were asked to select the type of pillows, and booked our Alhambra tickets. Love the wooden furnishings. They offered afternoon tea/coffee from 4.30 to 7.That's a lovely touch as there is no coffee maker in the room. Room size is not big for triple but the washroom is big but without heater. Could do with more hangers for especially 3 females with winter coats and all..
Friendly staff even booked our flamenco dinner & show. Definitely recommended !

Room 302 sits over an uninsulated space. Despite multiple inquiries over two days and promises of help to fix heaters, temp was about 60F (17C) in a town where current nighttime temps are around freezing. Floor like icicles on my feet. Bathroom was small and inconveniently arranged. Room 303 is gargantuan by comparison and warm (but no jacuzzi tub). Ask for this one instead!

Dear Guest,

We are grateful for your comment following your recent stay at Palacio Mariana Pineda.

However we were sorry to read that we did not meet your expectations.

Size of the rooms are different because this is a house from 17th Century and we keep original contruction. Really charming of the hotel is that each room is different. Room 302 is not as bigger as room 303 but it has a very nice balcony which face to Carrera del Darro.

Please be assured, we do value all feedback from our guests and your comment has been reviewed with our team and corrective actions are taken to improve the quality of our service.

We will give us another opportunity to better serve you in a near future.

A little hard to get to since the taxi can't take you all the way, but worth it once you get there. Beautiful, romantic room in a quaint, charming hotel. The people were almost like family, helping find locations within the city. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Ours overlooked street-with view of river and Al Alhambra

Situated a very short walk from the Plaza Nueva, this charming little hotel is so well situated for anything you might want to see and do in Granada. It is close to the buses that run up to the Alhambra and to those that go up into the Albaicin, and also close to the many cafes and restaurants in the Plaza Nueva.
The hotel, being an old palace, oozes atmosphere and the reception staff are extremely helpful: they made a booking for us to visit the Alhambra and also to go to a flamenco show nearby.
The only downside is that our lovely room was on the street side of the hotel and so we had a lot of noise in the early hours when the revellers passed our window. There is a small bar nearby with a flamenco show at midnight so there was more noise when this finished. There are internal rooms but they tend to be dark whereas ours was light and had a side view of part of the Alhambra.

Room Tip: Street side rooms can be noisy but are light and very pleasant.

With hordes of modern tourists pouring through the historic sites, we had little hope of recapturing the romantic spirit of old Granada, but it found us on the edge of the Albaicin where this lovely small hotel gave us royal treatment. Located in a historic 17th century mansion, the hotel preserves the elegance and hospitality of traditional Spain without compromising 21st century comforts. Well, this may not be entirely true because the hotel still lacks elevator but they do provide bag service to the room. And the in-room wi-fi didn't always work, but reception did loan me a laptop. Continental breakfast was good. Room was comfortable and private. Service from staff was five-star. The location right on the banks of the Darro River with full view of the Alhambra is priceless. This is our special place in Granada.

Room Tip: Street front rooms may have a noise factor - but the view of the Alhambra from your own balcony is w...
