We spent three nights here and found the apartments clean, comfortable and well situated for all the sights. Staff were friendly and helpful. The interior of the hotel has a Moorish feel to it, and this added to the charm of staying in Granada. We also loved the memory foam beds!

The GranVia 44 is located on a very busy road with a 15 min ride by bus (1.2. Euros )or taxi ( 5 euros ) to the Alhambra . Parking garage costs 18 euros.
It's a good value for family of four ( 120 EU )but has a weird smell in rooms and lots of noisy traffic below . Place is more like an apartment than a hotel .

Highly recommend this place. It's in a great location and it was so nice to have a one bedroom apartment with kitchen facilities after staying in hotel rooms for the previous three weeks.

The staff were also extremely friendly.

We stayed for 2 nights June 2013 reserving through booking.com. Check-in was seamless, great location for visiting all areas of Granada and clean, comfortable apartment. There was some street noise Saturday night but I am a very light sleeper - my son and husband heard nothing. My only complaint is there were no coffee / tea supplies in the room something I am used to in Canada.

Booked a good deal through bookings.com. The bedroom was a bit on the small side, hardly room to swing a cat. Also we could not really open the windows, as the bedroom window faced directly to the elevator, so did not see much light for the time we stayed there. These were small negatives in comparison to the overall stay. At least we had a small kitchenette and living area to enjoy and a most fancy toilet to try out. Downstairs there is a communal area to relax, read, access computer and Internet and free Nespresso coffee to enjoy. That was most welcome!
The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the main areas which was fine for us as we do not mind the walking. Make sure you take a walk down Carrera del Darrow for views and sunset over the Alhambra.
I must also mention the friendliness of the staff, always greeting us with a cheerful smile and greeting and vey helpful with our requests.
All in all a wonderful stay in Granada.

We stayed here for two nights in May 2013. Nice location within walking distance of the main sights of Granada. Breakfasts served in the room were good. There is no dining room or restaurant in the hotel.

But our stay was badly marred: first by my husband’s laptop and my notebook computer being stolen from our room; and second by the unsympathetic and accusatory attitude of the hotel’s management.

We felt secure at the hotel, and left our laptops in our room when we went out for a tour of the city. But much to our shock, they were both gone when we returned.

We reported the theft immediately to the manager, Mr. Ignacio Saez de Tejada, and also to the police. Mr. Saez de Tejada was somewhat helpful, but not as sympathetic as we would have expected. He never showed support for us, but fully supported his staff (there was no forced entry into the room, so the staff were the logical culprits). He said that his staff was beyond reproach and that he knew that nobody from the hotel could have done that.

When we got home, we emailed Mr. Saez de Tejada, because we just felt like the issue was never really resolved to our satisfaction. Mr. Saez de Tejada’s email responses have just made things worse. For example, he suggested in his emails that we “may not even brought the laptops with us from Canada”. This has only added insult to injury....

We’re not asking for compensation for our stolen property. But an apology from the hotel would be nice, as would some indication that they’ll take measures to protect the property of their guests going forward.

Dear Madam,
I am sorry what had happend, but I insist that your laptops were stolen before check in in our hotel.
As you repported to me and the police, last time you saw your computers was in Mallorca. You never took them out of your baggage once in our hotel. Only upon departure you realized that the laptops were not with you.
I am sorry but it is not fair to accuse us when you have no evidence. The lock was not forced. Security cameras did not record anything suspicious. You are accusing the room maid
unreasonably. She work at the hotel for more than 3 years and I trust in my staff, otherwise they won´t work for me.
I understand you´re upset but I kindly ask you to think in other possibility as I emailed you before.

The value is outstanding and the Staff was the best we encountered in our two weeks in Spain. We were driving a large van ( 9 passanger) and the staff even parked it for us as the garage was on a narrow side street. Location was a short walk to most areas one would visit. Suites were spacious. Breakfast w also excellent.
