“good location and great deal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

We were happy to stay here during our visit to Granada. The immediate location is not perfect, on the busy street and sketchy side streets, but walkable to good food, etc.

Having an apartment for this price was just excellent, and allowed us to save a bit on food. However, there are no ovens in the rooms and no means to make coffee. There's a microwave, which helped. And coffee downstairs in the lounge, but trying to transport coffee each morning for three of us wore thin immediately. (Also, the cream is just left out down there and was spoiled.)

The apartments themselves are lovely. And the sheets were amazing. (I want those sheets, whatever they were.) The staff was always very helpful and friendly.

Aside from the missing oven, my only complaint about my room was that there's a class panel in the bathroom that has the atrium on the other side. It was frosted glass, except at the very edges, so kind of okay. But at night, I had to close the bathroom door to keep out the light. There were two neighboring panels that had shades, which worked fine, and that would make it better.

Well... actually you can have a kettle if you ask the very helpful front desk staff for one. But it seems odd not to provide it as a matter of course in the kitchen. Actually, the kitchen was not that well stocked with useful things like mugs and saucepans. (The only cups were tiny and there was one large saucepan useless for anything but the biggest pasta session.) Five of us stayed in a two bedroom apartment. It was a little cramped for that many; not helped by the fact that the only comfortable seating was the sofa bed on which one of our number was to sleep. I really think a couple of armchairs as well as the dining chairs would be a very welcome addition. The rooms were, on the whole, clean and well-decorated. The splendid bathroom and its loo have been written about elsewhere, and we had hours of fun comparing notes on the efficacy of the electric toilet. The location is very good, as long as you don't wander behind the hotel at night. That area seems a little dubious, with sex-shops and God-knows-what-else immediately behind the apartments.

Beautifully appointed apartment. Not too far from places of interest.Unfortunately the windows are far from soundproof. Our room directly faces the main road. Walked up to the Alhambra in 25 mins from hotel.

We had stayed elsewhere our previous visit to Granada which had been a good value experience, and I did wonder if this stay at the Suites Gran Via would be as good, as it was somewhat pricier.
We didn't regret the booking though. The place is well run, the receptionists speak English, and the location is a short walk to the Cathedral area, which has lots of restaurants. A short taxi drive to the Alhambra - don't forget to book online ahead of your trip to avoid long queues. The one bedroom apartment was spacious - more than adequate for the 3 of us (with one grown up son, who used the large, comfy pull out bed in the sitting room) for the overnight stay. The USP of the place was certainly the fancy loo, as other reviewers mentioned, much like Japan! The beds were very comfortable, and the in-room safe and blackout blinds another plus. The small kitchenette had a fridge, microwave, basic crockery, cutlery & cookware, and electric kettle but no wine opener or wine glasses - we had to ring for them. The common room with the internet and coffee set up was shut for some reason, and we would have had a problem with our check in/boarding passes being a Sunday if the receptionist hadn't finally agreed to loan us her own desktop/printer.
Lots of places to eat and shop just a brief walk away, so you will not starve! We dined at Ermita, in the square which is close by - very good food especially the tapas and wine. But beware of pickpockets and con men as I almost lost my iPhone but for our alert waiter.
The airport bus stop is a 5 minute brisk walk away, with the bus stopping by hourly. Ask for the schedule but do keep a margin, as we reached 10 minutes ahead of the time mentioned by the receptionist and found the bus just about to take off - would have missed it otherwise!
Overall very comfortable, with all the checks in place, so nothing to complain about, and it is very well-located.

We stayed here for 2 nights and the room was lovely. There is a kitchenette and a dining table, along with a separate master suite. Plenty of space for two people, and probably enough room for a third and fourth. There was a pullout sofa bed in the dining area. We had a room in the back of the building and noise was not a problem at all. The bathrooms are very nice including a crazy electric seat with all sorts of water and drying options. Water pressure was good along with plenty of hot water. Staff was nice and wifi worked well in the room (no additional cost). They have their own parking garage nearby, which we used, and we're happy to not look for a public garage. Lastly the location is very good for seeing the attractions and monuments. Just a few minute walk to the main bus stop to see the Alhambra and close to plaza nueva too. Good find and I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for a night at this lovely service apartment in May 2012. The place is done up in bright beautiful colours which gels well with the grandeur of Granada. It is spacious and well-maintained as well. We got an upgrade in the apartment, which made it more fun.
The apartment itself was very spacious and brightly coloured. The kitchen had all the basic apparatus one could want and the living area was big enough for the dining table, sofas and some empty space thereafter.
The kids loved the auto WC functions as they hadnt seen the same before :)
We ordered breakfast, which was delivered hot and fresh at the designated time, thereby saving us the hassle of cooking breakfast in a short stay.
While located on the main street, there is hardly any street noise in the apartments.
Only negative, if at all, is that it is located a bit far from the Alhamra, but then there are buses and taxis available right across the street which get you there in 15-20 mins.
