We stayed for 5 nights in March and this was by far the best apartment we stayed in during are holiday in Spain. Juan is a perfect host and gives you excellent advice. Oh and he baked us the most wonderful cake. The apartment was very clean and ideal for the 3 of us with plenty of space in the bedrooms to lay out your luggage and still have masses of room. The beds are excellent and we had the best nights sleep here on holiday. Lovely quality bed linen and towels as well. At the top is a great sized roof terrace with views of the Alhambra and snow capped mountains. With better weather it would be a lovely place to relax but also great place to hang out washing! The apartment is in Albayzin not too far from the Moroccan streets. A great central place to explore the Albayzin and an easy walk to the Alhambra and Cathedral. The bedrooms are at the front over a quiet little street (can be reached by taxi to the front door). So many great places to eat in Granada and Juan will point you in the direction of some great places to try. Just head a few streets away from the tourist areas...we also found some great places on our own too. Also the Basilica is far, far more impressive than the Cathedral. It is unassuming from outside but inside WOW the most impressive church we have visited and we have visited quite a few in Spain and Italy!! We would definitely recommend Juan's apartment and when we visit Granada it will be where we stay. All in all Granada is top of our places in Spain with the top apartment to stay as well. Thank you Juan.
We spent 2 nights in early January in Granada, what a fab experience. The apartment is located in the middle of historical hilly borough of Albayzin, just 10min walking downwards to the city center. Everything is brand new as it has been refurbished a couple of years ago, and very well maintaned by owner Juan. Comfy beds (1 double + 1 twin), spotless clean everywhere, well equipped kitchen, good A/C and heater unit. The bathroom has a strange configuration with the toilet bowl beyond the shower (should be used in the right order...) as it's due to the tiny spaces. Great terrace on the top with superb view of the Alhambra. It's on a semi-pedestrian little road with no parking spot but Juan will arrange a garage spot for 15€/day.
Big plus is the relationship with Juan, easy to communicate and get arrangements, open to every possible needs, smart and super-welcoming with us and our kids. He was of great help with tips and recos on To Do's in Granada, too. A great person we are proud of sharing friendship with.
We stayed in this fabulous apartment for 4 nights with our two young children. Juan was extremely welcoming, helpful and generous, going out of his way to help us. The orange cake was delicious and Juan's information on Granada was really useful. When we stayed the weather was quite cold but the heating in the apartment kept us snug and the beds were warm and comfortable. Unfortunately the weather stopped us from making the most of the roof terrace, which was charming. A travel cot was set up for us and a booster chair also provided though we did not use this. The apartment we were in might not be ideal for younger toddlers or mobile babies due to the stairs but we found it fine with our 2 year old.
I would not hesitate to recommend this lovrly apartment.
We had 3 nights in Juan's apartment in the old town. Great location for exploring the old town. Pretty square nearby with bars and restaurants. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. Fantastic roof terrace with superb views to the Alhambra palace. Juan was a great host with lots of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We had a great time.
Our family absolutely loved our stay here. The apartment is beautifully decorated, clean and has an amazing rooftop view of the Alhambra. We were able to walk almost everywhere from the apartment, and our host was so kind, gracious and full of information about the city. We would love to return!
My husband, two teenage kids and I stayed at this apartment in June. The host was amazing and gave us valuable tips on places to eat and things to see. The apartment was super clean with many thoughtful touches. The location was superb within walking distance of everything we wanted to see (although do keep in mind that Granada is quite hilly). We enjoyed having our breakfast in the morning on the roof top terrance looking up at Alambra. We really appreciated the ducted air conditioning. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment in the Albaicin. The accommodation is stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean and has the most fantastic roof terrace with a view of the Alhambra and mountains beyond. Juan is most kind and helpful as well as being a wonderful baker - the orange cake he made for us was delicious!
There is so much to see and to do in Granada and we would love to do a return visit at some point in the future. Highly recommended!
