“Relaxed Spanish restaurant/cafe/bar atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2012

Superb food, excellent wine (great recommendations by staff), cosmopolitan and multi- national customer base. Goodness knows what they would do if it rains!! - but on a warm and balmy evening what a fantastic place to eat under the stars. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

“great way to finish a wonderful day in Granada”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2012

This is a lovely restaurant frequented by locals and tourists alike.
I agree with some other reviewers that , for a Spanish restaurant, the service was efficient (speedy). We were open minded, and this did not bother us (why would it ? we're from the US !). If you expected a truly genuine spanish culinary experience perhaps this may not be the place. Staff spoke good english, and are very polite.

Service is excellent. We sat outdoor next to a spanish family (Granma, mom, dad, 4-5 year old girl). Mom had a glass of wine, and spilled it on the table and glass broke. A waiter immediately came and replaced the table cloth (paper), new glass, cleaned up the broken glass - very impressive. Within minutes they were back dining as if nothing happened. All tables were full so they did not get a new table.

Unless you're sitting outdoor on a table closer to Alhmabra side, you will not get a view. You do get a lovely sunset sky however. Outdoor table are next to Mirador, so you should go and see Alhambra to your heart's content there and then come to Kiki.

Now the food. Upon the owner's recommendation (yea, he came out) we had lamb platter, and fish platter with their unique sauce: "mosarabe". This is a aromatic and weet sauce. The same dishes can be had in other sauces, but this was recommended. Portion size was just right for 2 people, and was delicious.

Transportation to/from Catherdral can be had with Bus #30. Bus #30 stops at the foot of San Nicolas - just a few steps. We were a bit concerned about walking around at late hours around San Nicolas, but Bus #30 made it easy to return to our hotel at 10pm. Also, we say police officers in the San Nicolas square.

“wine, ambience and fun!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2012

We have been going to Bar Kiki for 6 years now.
Being locals and apartment owners we undstand the importance of accmmodating
ones turistic needs. Javier, the owners son just LOVES to show off their excellent selection of Spanish wines. You can taste them and then buy a bottle right there! Usually for about
6-8€ for a VERY nice vintage! There is loads of ambience there in their terrace with plenty of live
Flamenco played for tips. So drop on bye an,d enjoy...Salud!!!!

“What a great place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2012 via mobile

What a great restaurant, and setting, don't expect Fancy tables as you are siting outside and it is busy, the entres are very generous servings and so are the mains! The duck liver pâté is a must, also the baked cheese, fried anchovies. We shared that between 6 people and had a main each. We were stuffed! mains were good bull tail was tasty. But next time I will skip mains and just order a couple of extra entres, that would have been more than enough!

“Certainly a geared up tourist machine”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2012 via mobile

This is I think is the first time I have been let down by trip advisor. maybe we ordered the wrong food, it was still good but the reviews had built this place up to be better than that. The restaurant even uses a sophisticated spotting system, the moment you were spotted by the staff, a table appears and you're sat down and a menu on your table. Some people might rate this as excellent service and like the 'charm' of the waiting staff, however I felt that we were a cog in a slick money making machine where I didn't feel particularly valued. I won't be going back!
