El Granado was a really nice hostel, inside a beautiful old building near Calle San Juan de Dios, Granada. There is plenty of space, a nice and well-equipped kitchen, so I could really indulge in my love of cooking. The owner is very friendly, and he gave me lots of useful advice on things to see and do in Granada, especially how to buy a ticket to the Alhambra, which can be tricky. This hostel is comfortable and good value for money, and a good place to go if you actually want to sleep. You can have fun, and also relax when you need to do so.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Anytime I'm in Granada I stay in El Granado (at least 5 times over the last few years!). All staff are very friendly and helpful and always up for laughs.
The hostel itself is in an old converted space. The rooms are clean, modern and bright, AC is in every room. Nice common areas. The location is perfect - close to all main attractions but in a quiet street next to a cosy botanic garden. If you don't feel like having breakfast at El Granado, just a stone's throw away, in Plaza de la Trinidad, there are many cute little places serving the best brekkie ever. Granada is my favourite Spanish city and El Granado is my favourite hostel. A perfect combination. Thank you Freddie & the gang for keeping up the good work!

I encourage everyone going to Granada to stay at El Granado. Freddy and Debora are both so kind and friendly, and go out of their way to make your stay as wonderful as possible. The building and facilities are truly beautiful, and it was always enjoyable returning after a day of exploring to chat with them and fellow travelers. They have full amenities for all your needs and are located centrally to explore all the best parts of town. Free walking tours start just around the corner and were very informative and entertaining.

If you're going to Granada (and you should), you have to stay here.

Room Tip: They have a variety of rooms, ranging from dorms to individual suites. The dorms were very nice, sm...

I dont refer only to a service, cleanliness etc. I really felt like home, because Freddy and his crew make me feel that way :). If you are traveling solo (like I did) this is the best place to meet people. It doesnt feel overcrowded during the day and it is nice and quiet during the night, so you can have some nice time + a good rest. It is perfectly located (walking distance of all the important locations), rooms are clean and comfortable and it has some charm which is pity to miss. I stayed there while looking for the apartment in Granada and obtain all the help I could imagine. And more! At the end I did not want to leave, so I guess that is the best recommendation for a hostel...:)

It was great to stay at El Granado while I travelled in Granada. It is a beautiful hostel built in a typical Andalusian house, with its patio and its high ceilings. It was clean, cheap, the staff was great, the facilities were comfortable and modern and the rooms had plenty of space. The toilets were awesome, not the typical dirty cabins you can find elsewhere. It's at walking distance of all main attractions (Albayzin, Jewish Quarter, Gran Via, Cathedral, etc.) and in a lively neighbourhood. Do stay here: believe me it's worth.

Great hostel. Neat old converted space, nice kitchen, clean rooms and bathrooms. Nice kitchen and dining area. Pretty quiet, common areas small but nice. Very friendly owner. Central location in Granada, near some of the more well-traveled areas but just off the main streets, so a little more quiet.

When we walked in and saw our dogs identical twin we new we would enjoy ourselves. Freddy couldnt have been a better host and El Granado couldnt have been a nicer hostel. Its in a fantastic spot in a beautiful old building but the whole hostel is completely refurbed, comfy and clean. If im ever back in my spiritual home i wouldnt stay anywhere else!
