“Moroccan feast!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

We were fortunate to get in with 7 of us without a reservation after just stumbling across the place while wandering the streets of Granada. We were thoroughly impressed with the environment, ambience, service and food! It isn't cheap but we found the quality of the food to be more than worth the price. The owner even came to our tables at the end to check how everything was and helped me find an internet cafe nearby. Would definitely return if in town.

“Nice atmosphere, but standard overpriced food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2012

We went to Arrayanes since ratings are splendid on the internet - the interior and pretty much the whole atmosphere is very Morrocan . The house-juice was fantastic and the owner poured it from one meter height into our glasses - what a show! The drawbacks however are that the menus are very expensive and the quality of food just average. I totally agree with another review - you get the same kind of quality in probably any other Arab/Persian restaurant in London. So if you just want to eat in a trendy restaurant, go there. If you value quality of food, don't.

“Great & atmospheric North African restaurant - the owner Mostafa is a real character.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012 via mobile

Fine N African restaurant at the foot of the Albaycin: excellent food - try the babaganoush for starters, then any of the tagines, & the Moroccan date & almond tart to finish is to die for.
Mostafa the owner is determined to make everyone feel at home - in any of the 7 languages he speaks. You'll probably notice the incessant chatter of the birds in the background too... No alcohol served, but plenty of juices, teas & non-alcoholic beer & wine, & a great & intimate atmosphere.

“Wonderful Moroccan in Granada”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012 via mobile

This was a fabulous restaurant in an unexpected place. In the middle of the Spanish city of Granada is a wonderful Moroccan enclave, complete with shops and restaurants. This restaurant is off the main cobblestone street (no cars allowed). Upon opening the restaurant door, one is immediately transported to another time and place. All of the food was well prepared and delicious. The 4 person salad sampler was so good and plentiful that we could have moved right to dessert. Fortunately, the tajine and couscous dishes delighted as well, and the pastella was perfectly done.
The service was great, as was the ambiance.
The only complaint is that some of the portions could have been about 10% larger for the price.
We highly recommend this delightful restaurant and will definitely return to it. If you like Moroccan food, this is not to be missed.

“Something different and yummy while in Spain”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

Went to Arrayanes because we were getting tired of Tapas and wanted to taste some local "Persian" food given Granada's history. We enjoyed our meal and went there twice during our stay - once for dinner, once for lunch the next day. The food seems good but we're not Moroccan food experts so can't really judge fairly. It was what we wanted in Granada though, to have a break from tapas. When we went for dinner, we got seated upstairs and the service was very slow/poor. We received our first appetizer quickly but then waited 20 minutes for our next appetizer. Finally asked the waiter and then the rest of our food arrived quickly. Yummy hummus, yummy briouats. We also ordered the lamb tagine with raisins which was good but not a huge portion (that was OK since we had ordered several apps). For lunch, we had the chicken skewers which were just OK - the tagine was better - and the beef meatballs which were also OK.
