“What a Gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2014 via mobile

My partner & I just left this place. We shared a bottle of wine, baba ganoush, a dish of spicy olives (on the house). My partner had tagine with almonds and prunes. I had couscous with chicken and vegetables. Both dishes were excellent! We finished with moroccan mint tea and pastries.
The owner is sincere and friendly. We chatted in English, Spanish and French with him. Upon leaving , we shook hands, and he thanked us for visiting his establishment. It was my pleasure.

“Delicious, simple, flavoursome.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2014 via mobile

A heap of delicious vegetarian options. Fresh hot bread, hummus, moroccan soup and lentil soup, all tasty and simple. Moroccan tea after to finish it off. English menu and a helpful waiter. It's worth it!

“Not that impressed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013

Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we ate dinner here in late November. The food was okay, not that great. The baba ghannouj and hummus appetizers were very good, although not served with a sufficient amount of bread. The lamb tangine was fair, but the chicken cous cous was much better. Service was good and the owner very pleasant, but the restaurant was quite cold and not very comfortable to really enjoy the atmosphere.

“Easy to walk past and miss this place, but that would be a big mistake”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2013

Read reviews of this restaurant and discovered it was next door to our hotel - fancied a good Moroccan meal and was certainly not disappointed. Run by a lovely Moroccan man and his wife. Food excellent, great value for money, dining room was cosy. All in all a great meal with lovely service and a very enjoyable evening out. Not the kind of place to have a website and all the better for it. We'd strongly recommend it.

“excellent food”

located in the traditional arabic quarter of albayzin - the food was authentic and delicious and the owner, who runs the restaurant with his wife, is very friendly and welcoming, and is himself moroccan.
