“Absolutely Perfect Apartment”
Reviewed January 5, 2018 for a stay in December 2017

This apartment was amazing ,very clean and modern . Everything you would need was there. Very comfortable bed and pillows .Large tv with plenty of tv stations in various languages. Everything worked perfect . Train station a 6/7 min walk away , and bus stops outside the building.A great powerful shower . I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment . A supersol supermarket just across from the building and a Dia a few mins walk at other side of the building . A great view of the pools and the sea . Would not hesitate to book here my next visit to Malaga . Thanks Fran

“Superb Stylish Bargain”

Firstly, I'd like to assure any readers that my review is not influenced by the fact that, having been dropped off at the apartment by taxi, I managed to leave my smartphone (expensive), which has a wallet case and contained credit, debit, euro cash card and all of my cash, on the back seat. The young man who met me, Javier, managed to have it back in my possession within half an hour, despite the cab driver having signed off for his siesta. 10/10 Javier...Thank you.

First impressions count. Up the stairs (there is a lift, never used it) to the first floor and along the outside walkway to the apartment. Open the (very substantial) front door, and the view is straight through the studio, out the sliding door, across the balcony....and over Torremolinos to the sea. Superb. This straight through vista also provided an instant, refreshing, through breeze...though I'd recommend keeping an eye on it if you are tempted to leave it open as sudden gusts will slam it shut.

Shower room on the left as you enter, and fitted with a care and attention to detail that made it a pleasure to use....but this is true of the whole studio. The spacious shower has a large overhead section, which pumps copious amounts of water at a decent pressure and temperature....though it did tend to cool pretty quickly, Again not a problem as it helps cool you down. It also featured a seperate detachable head, good for rinsing down.

The kitchen is next up, with its huge stainless steel fridge freezer...probably one of your best friends while you are there :). Ceramic hob with mini oven and grill, microwave, again with grill. Out of sight under the breakfast bar counter, a very efficient washing machine (with a 15 min quick wash...things like t shirts were ready to wear in about 45 mins or less after drying on balcony). Coffee machine I never used, being a tea drinker.

In both the shower room and kitchen, everything I could reasonably have needed, was there. From toilet paper to shampoos and shower gels, cleaning necessities, salt pepper spices tea coffee milk..even a couple of beers and a miniature of vodka. Basically, all the annoying little things you generally have to go shopping for as soon as you arrive at a rental.

On the wall opposite the kitchen there are units with useful items contained within...iron, hairdrier, books pens and so on...but also with usable drawer space.

The Samsung TV with Sony Soundbar was very smart. After connecting my Samsung phone to the free wifi, I just went to 'Nearby Devices' in the settings of my phone and set it to on, and the TV connected immediately. All of the media content on the phone was available for viewing or listening...and the soundbar was very good at producing surround sound. Internet browsing was also available, though clumsy without a keyboard. There was also a screen mirroring function for the phone, which makes web browsing easier if you are familiar with it. I also had a portable usb hard disk containing movies which worked seamlessly.

The sofabed was very comfortable with its memory foam mattress topper, so comfortable in fact, that it was the first thing I bought when I got home :). Being on my own, I left the sofa bed down while I was there. My one attempt at putting it up for use as a sofa was a bit of an effort. There was enough room with it down for free passage to the balcony, so I didn't bother again. Ample storage space in the wardrobe next to the TV, with loads of sheets/blankets should you require them. With the excellent breeze coming from the balcony, I never needed or used the free aircon...and the temperature hit 36C while I was there,

Not the biggest balcony in the world, but a great view down to the pools and bar. The roll down shade, while not needed as the sun was mostly too high in the sky, was useful rolled down at night to provide a bit of privacy...and also help keep the morning light out as the blinds on the sliding doors did let a lot of light into the room.

The public areas of the apartments are very well maintained. Pools were spotlessly clean and very inviting. The pool, garden and bar are open from 10:00am until 9:00pm. Sunloungers with comfy mattress and fixed sunshade are 2 euros per person per day, or you can just set your towel down on the grass.

Travelling times...20 mins from Airport by train, 6 min walk from El Pinillo station to apartment. 15 min walk down to Puerto Marina via Av. Marysol....as long as you want in either direction from the Marina for great beaches and hostelries. I tended to turn east along La Carihuela :) 15 min walk to Arroya de la Miel or 5 mins on train
2 decent sized supermarkets, Supersol and Dia are a stones throw away and a Lidl about 5 mins walk downhill. There's also a large Carrefour supermaket and mini mall 12 minutes walk .

The studio is very thoughtfully laid out, making it seem much larger than it actually is. The decor is stylish and modern...the use of the NY skyline wallcovering really opens the room up...and with the multitude of lighting options, from spotlights to lanterns down to little tea lights, you can set the place up for about any mood you want

I look at a lot of properties when choosing somewhere for my holiday, and for what it is and what it costs, nothing comes close to this on the Costa del Sol.

....Oh!....and Torremolinos was great....but that's another story :)
