Quaint little hotel, Cosy rooms , welcoming staff.handy for town & beach & also bars & restaurants
The overall appearance of the hotel make you think you are way out in the country whereas you are only 20 minutes walk from the town of Torremolinos. We really enjoyed our brief stay & will look forward to coming back.

Me and husband spent 3 nights here this week and left this morning to come home :-( .This hotel is very clean, comfortable, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, check in and out was quick. The hotel is situated in a good location, close to the beach, shops, cafes, restaurants, we had to pay for car parking, the 24hr underground carpark is outside the hotel it cost 21 euros a night but the hotel will give you a receipt to take to the carpark to get parking for 5 euros a night, we will definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Room Tip: The best room to have is at the back of the hotel it was very quiet, the rooms on the front are fine...

Our hotel stay was very good here. The receptionist could not have been more helpful and she was very knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is very conveniently located next to the carahauila, and is ideally situated next to the bus stop, for services to Malaga (110), Aeropuerto (128), and Benalmadena (120). Mijas can be got to on the (121).

A must visit for a bite to eat is El Pedro on the carahauila. I could not recommend Playa Miguel as the service in there was shocking.

The only thing that let this hotel down was the bedding - it was very cold at night and it's not double glazed. The bedding was a mixture of blankets and sheets, reminiscent to that of RAF Bedding at transit camps, which was most uncomfortable and I now have a cold, which means I have to take time off work.

There was also a distinct lack of hot water most evenings, and the shower head needed replacing.

It does what it says on the tin.

I stayed here for a week from 21st to 28th December. The taxi driver knew where the hotel was and check-in took minutes, even though it was late at night.
The owners gave me the wifi key and it worked and was strong all holiday long.
I was able to watch UK TV on my tablet.
The room was compact, with a double bed, bedside cabinet, wardrobe, drawers and a table, chair and TV. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The shower was nice and there was always plenty of hot water.
The air conditioning acted as a heater, and the room was nice and toasty warm even when it was quite cold and windy outside on Christmas day.
The only thing I felt the room lacked was a kettle and tea cups, as I had taken some tea bags with me. Would have been nice to be able to have a cup of tea or hot chocolate in the room. A small criticism though. Perhaps also a corkskrew would be another nice touch, as those of us coming in on budget airlines with just our 10kg luggage can't bring one with us.
The room was cleaned and the bed made up every day.
The lady at the hotel gave me a map of the area and pointed out a couple of nice places to eat and drink.

My lift back to the airport didn't turn up when it was supposed to, and the hotel owner phoned the company for me on his mobile. They didn't answer and so he kindly called me a taxi to take me to the airport. This was a nice touch.
If I was returning to Torremolinos I would certainly consider staying at the Villa Albero again.

Around the hotel:
The hotel is right on the main road and from the bus stop you can catch a bus to Benalmadina, Fuengirola etc. Across the road the buses go to Malaga (under 2 euros each way). About a 10 minute walk up the road you come to the Torremolinos square, train station, shops etc.
There are some shops opposite the hotel and some larger supermarkets around too.
Across the road and down some steps is where the Carihuela sea-front is. It's very Spanish, with a couple of British bars and a few Dutch ones, but not anything like some places in Spain you visit where you wonder where the actual Spanish people are.
You can walk to Benalmadina (right), or to Torremolinos (left). Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from on the way. One street back from the front there is more shops and restaurants. Plenty to see.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard are nice and quiet. I can imagine the ones facing the main road might be...

The hotel is located 5 to 10 minutes walk from the beach and right in front of a bus stop to arrive from and go back to the airport. It is near the streets of Carihuela, where you can eat good fish at reasonable prices. Our room was clean and AC worked fine, the bed was ok. This small hotel has a lot of charm with its small courtyard and has reasonable prices. If they took better care of their garden (when I was there it need some watering) it would be a fantastic place!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the courtyard

It is a very nice hotel, clean and well located. Near "Carihuela Beach" which is full of shops and places to eat. Great for couples but a bit difficult for old people, it has a lot of stairs. The parking is quite cheap 7,50€ per day during the summer, and it is very close to the hotel.

i stayed in villa albero this june when i visited south of spain... the place is in the center of torremolinos, close to the beach, close to the center and train station... rooms are really big and comfortable (except the tv set that didn't work), bathroom fully renovated, with tub and bide, very good pressure of the water day and night...the most amazing part is the garden (patio) so beautiful and quiet and literally cool (never needed the ac)... doors have card-system locks...room is cleaned every day...hosts are helpful and kind... simple rooms like mine don't have a fridge, but suits include a kitchenette... i recommend the place....
