“A wonderful group holiday”
Reviewed May 27, 2014

I was in this hotel in May 2014 for 7 nights accommodation wit another 20 persons in my group.
We have rooms at the 2nd floor and on the 10th floor in the renovated building. The rooms are large, spacious, newly refurbished. We had full board, but at the lunch and dinner drinks was included (white wine, red sangria, draft beer, juices, coffee). The food was great, varied and for all tastes. The staff was friendly, helpful with a smile on their faces. Every day when we go in excursion we had a picnic bag with water, juice and sandwich. The entertainment staff was great.
We recommend this hotel for all the groups.

Ian R will mislead you. The shuttle bus does not run in a loop all day. It stops for around 4 hrs during siesta time (roughly 12. 30- 16.30) and last one into town goes at 19 30. It is 25 min walk alongside busy road to reach nearest civilisation- Hotel Cervantes. Left from here and down many steps will take you to promenade. Or, from Cervantes, right, left, left into nice little area of cafes, shops, church
We booked 1/2 board, but upgraded to AI as there was nowhere else local to eat/drink. While restaurant food was fine, afternoon snack was anything but! Only required on day of travel thankfully, but raw link sausages are not for me...and I do mean raw! Also, a 4* hotel should have basic toiletries; a bottle of gunk on the wall doesn't cut it.

I have just returned from a week at this hotel. All I can say that it ticked all the boxes for a super, relaxing, most enjoyable holiday. The hotel is spotless, I can't stress this enough. The staff are so friendly, helpful and always had a smile on their faces. The food is fabulous and with so much choice, we were never hungry. Our two boys loved the choice of food but mostly the deserts :) The entertainment staff (Sebastian and Charlie) were amazing and kept our boys occupied and entertained for the whole week. This hotel is a definite must for any family looking for value for money holiday. We will be back :)

We went to this hotel on a fairly last minute booking through Travelzoo. There were four adults who went and I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. We booked in to two junior suites and the rooms were lovely and newly refurbished. The grounds of the hotel were lovely with lots of different areas to sunbathe. The food was ok and plentiful, not good for veggies like me as even the salads had ham and chicken in them but that is quite often the case in Spain in general.

The bar on an evening did leave something to be desired but we pulled up some chairs outside and had a lovely evening in the open air.

I would happily recommend this hotel for a short break, make sure you go in to Malaga old town and the marina area and Picasso museum.

The swimming pools were also really good and one pool is lightly heated, enough for it not to be unbearably cold.

The toilets in the public areas do leave something to be desired, they are desperate for refurbishing although they were cleaned regularly.

All in all I would be happy to go again.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view, high room, and definitely fork out the extra few quid for a junior suite.

This hotel was very clean, the staff were all very polite. Rooms are very spacious a bright. The food is very plentiful with snacks between every meal, so if you didn't get up for breakfast you could still get something to eat. Free shuttle bus to beach and town is very handy. All in all a bright clean friendly hotel

Room Tip: higher room or pool view

having a blank week in my diary i deceided to book a last minute bargain break all inclusive to this hotel , i knew where it was positioned on a hillside just outside of Torremolinos and only 10 mins from the airport at Malaga but thought at the price it was worth a chance, my girlfriend and I were delighted.
We arrived in the early hours and were checked in by a friendly and speedy night porter who had a plated cold buffet for us and drinks the whole hotel is exceptionally clean and most areas have recently been refurbed, the food was as good as any 4 star i have stayed in on the Costa even ones costing three times as much, good selection of hot and cold, carving station every night something to suit everyone , on the inclusive package there was no quing for drinks unless you wanted cocktails or spirits and then service was prompt and very generous , there were in every bar and resaurant plentiful wine dispensers, soda fountains , juice machines, beer pumps and coffee machines plus always ice ,lemon/orange slices , straws etc etc, just help yourself made life so easy,
The hotel has a beautiful pool area plentiful sunbeds and a brilliant safe enclosed kids area with its own mini water park, lifeguard always on duty and exceptionally clean and well managed, staff were freindly and spoke good english, the hotel has Wi Fi, see below, boutiques, hairdresser, and its own tour and trip booking desk at very good prices,

negatives
lots of steps for elderley and disabled
rooms in the annexe are clean but basic bathrooms clean but slightly old fashioned although good power shower, bidet etc, for 15 euros a day you can upgarde to a really nice junior suite,
coach transfer drivers like to leave you and your cases at the bottom of the hill 400 yards from hotel and pick up from there too, dont fall for it its not much fun.
no snacks or even ice creams allowed in pool areas.
Evening entertainment typically bad no worse than anywhere else though , lots of it but generally a little loud and low quality.

Positive
incredible value for money
free air condition shuttle coach from hotel to centarl Torremolinos and the beach runs a continous loop from a bout 9am till 10.pm
Free internet wi fi in reception but for only 20 euros you can have it in the room or anywhere else on the property for 7 days and the speed is very good.
Food is plentiful all day from 7.30 am till bedtime and even the snacks are generally good quality.
You cant here much traffic at all unlike the central hotels and its only 5 mins to the beach by coach.
taxi from airport is around 20 euros and taxi into town or back 7 euros
the whole property was truly spotless
lots of entertainment for the kids with a good animacion team

To sum up anyone faulting this hotel based on the price would be barking mad, yes i have stayed in better but not on a value for money basis, we had a truly relaxing week were well fed and watered and taken care of and in quiet and charming surroundings so on the basis of a quick value for money escape this hotel far exceeded all my expectations, hope this helps

Room Tip: upgrade to main building around 15 euros a day

This was our second short break here and it wont be are last, we love to take the train from the airport to this hotel its easy and cheap, The staff are really friendly and helpful the hotel was very busy as it was Easter but they still had time to be professional and handed out advice, the two ladies at the entrance of the restaurant always looked after us and made sure we were not pushed out, we loved the garden area as theirs always a quite spot, as this is a very family themed hotel this area was great, the food, theirs always something to eat from pasta, salads and fish/meat the fruit was good and fresh. our only niggle was the food labels well the lack of them so you didn't know if its fish/meat pork beef or turkey only a simple moan though, the free bus to town/beach is a great asset to this hotel, thank you all again for a great stay.
