food cold and disgusting their solution ''use the microwave''there is no lounge to sit during the day when weather is bad,we had to go to bed in the wet afternoons to keep warm as we were told heating did not come on till 7pm.Watch out for the ''con'' of ''superior rooms''Most people wre allocated rooms at side of hotel(away from the sun)if you complained you were told a room with a sunny balcony would be £65 per day extra.an absolute rip-off,I,m sure they see us brits coming!!!The only + point was the location near the beach, but please dont let that tempt you into going!

Stayed here between Christmas and New Year - excellent location - 10 mins from best part of Torremolinas (la Cariheula) and best part of Benalmadena (Marina). Was surprised how warm it was and also how many bars, restaurants were open (although some not at night). We stayed in a private studio within the hotel which was really nice but we also ate dinner twice and breakfast - really good value for money. Hotel bar, restaurant all very clean and staff very friendly. Hoping to go back in June - only reservation is pool area, not very interesting for children??

We went to the Barracuda for short break prior to our busy Xmas season. We had not been to the Costas in over 20 yrs, so the 'concrete' jungle' of Torremolinos was interesting!
Barracuda was great hotel and they are in the process of serious upgrade (according to Spanish Tourist Auth. plaque near entrance)
GOOD- pool, staff, proximity to beach and everything,
NOT SO GOOD- Food (OK if you liked senior citizens home menu..as many international senior guests on long stay here at this time of year), Balcony rails downright dangerous for kids!

what a shame, hotel is in ideal position right on the prom. But the food is awful. Chips every night no other potaoes was available. The locals came both week ends we was there to stay and they were like ganets. No food left hardly and the dessert well it was like it was going ouy of fashion, they took it by the plate full even before they had eaten the first coarse.I had beef twice and both times i was nearly sick because it wasnt just pink rare blood was running on my plate when i cut into it.It was red raw in the middle. So that put me off .also the food was cold no end of people heated ther food up in the microwave.I thought the food was bad in Piscis Hotel in Alcudia but it was good at the side of Barracuda. Rooms are very good we had a lovely view of the sea and prom on the fifth floor. So sorry Barracuda wont visit you again just because of the food.Want spanish food more choice and hot.

Stayed here by accident after our first hotel was the pits, booked in here after one night stay at another hotel.
Check in was quick and painless, staff spoke okay English,
Rooms basic but all you need. Studio style with kitchen area, clean and comfy.
Lovely balcony over looking the pool and sea.
Pool area is large with loads of places to sunbathe, think the hotel also has tennis courts but we did not use them.
Food at the hotel is not the best, buffet style, quite bland with little selection. Staff polite and helpful.
Loads of places to eat out just outside the hotel, we gave up on the hotel food and ate out every meal.
Charnleys Gastro Pub near the chemist is a good place to eat, reasonable prices, excellent food and service.
Chinese restaurant next to Charnleys is also very good, fab chinese food and very cheap.
Goulash steak house, again very good, excellent steak and very well priced.
Marina is only a short walk away and so is the centre of Torremolinos, you can get the bus from outside Charnleys Gastro Pub, only takes a few minutes.
