Just returned from 2 weeks here in the hotel Nautilus which has been completely
renovated since our last visit and completely modernised.the reception, lounge, pool area and
outside bar and snack bar have also been refurnished.everywhere was kept spotlessly clean.
There are plenty of sunbeds and a large shaded area for those who don,t like too much sun.
the bedrooms have ample storage space and room. The dining room is spacious and there is
plenty of choice on the buffet of hot and cold food to suit even the fussiest of eaters. The staff
are always cheerful and very efficient and the managers are always coming round to see if
everything is to your liking. This hotel is definitely a great place to stay and is in a great position
overlooking the promenade, not far from the impressive Marina and Torremolinus. We shall
certainly stay here again.

Just had a week at the Riu Nautilus and my wife and I were both very impressed. Recently refurbished the hotel has a modern fresh look about it and is very clean and spacious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet food was very well presented, varied and plentiful. If we had one disappointment it was that there was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Having said that coffee in the lounge was only 2 Euros which is very reasonable for a 4 star hotel. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Recently returned from a 10 day stay with Thomson Holidays. Newly and tastefully refurbished, Riu Nautilus is an overall delightful experience! All the staff are very charming helpful and PR orientated. Ray, the manager in attendance at dinner always ready to chat and ask if everything was agreeable. Nice touch. Housekeeping we found to be excellent, beautiful room and sea view which was lovely, rooms 332-336 as a tip! Allocated your table of choice for dinner, the food was good and plentiful. We chose to eat on the terrace however breakfast and dinner blighted by smokers! Smoking should be banned at mealtimes. Only drawback in the room was no electric point near the mirror! Beautiful walk in shower. Easy access to beach and central to everywhere around the area. Good walking on the promenades all very busy and buzzy we like the area very much. From the very beginning with our arrival welcomed with a glass of Cava at Reception it was a lovely stay with excellent staff in all departments and I highly recommend Riu Nautilus. Well done to all there!

Room Tip: Good tip : 3rd floor, rooms 332-336.

We booked our holiday to the Riu Nautilus via Thomson for the second week of August.

We were a little worried, as some previous reviews had mentioned how the hotel was mainly older retirees and younger couples may feel out of place. Thankfully this was not the case at all, there was a very good mix of ages and not once did we feel awkward or out of place (we are both 25).

The hotel itself was amazing from start to finish, we were greeted with smiles and bubbly. We got one of the best rooms in the hotel, sea/pool facing on the main block on the 4th floor.

The hotel staff were all lovely and the front desk always had English speakers who were happy to help.

The room was clean and well presented. The bed was large and comfortable and overall the room was lovely. The cleaners were on time every day and the room was thoroughly cleaned.

The pool area was good, yes the beds are a little close but not uncomfortably so. The pool area we chose also had wifi (an extra charge for the premium wifi) which was great.

The breakfast didn't change but it had ample choice every day, the dinner was of good quality and changed every night, the specials were always worth seconds. The deserts left a little to be desired.

My only tip is, write down the name of the hotel and carry it with you if you go out. If you require a taxi home, the English pronunciation of Riu Nautilus is entirely different than how the Spaniards say it. We got taken on a wild tour of torremelinos old town before I typed out the name on my phone and the taxi driver understood this.

Overall the hotel was brilliant and warrants a second trip next year.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main block, 3rd floor or higher facing the pool.

we have just come back from a ten day holiday in this superb hotel.I know it has already been said numerous times already, but i have to repeat this is a very good, quality, clean hotel. The food is of a very high standard with great choice , and dont forget to use the themed restaurant. We were allowed two visits and although the menu does not change, the food is fantastic.we stopped in room 204 which had the sun all afternoon until sunset, which was a big bonus because most of the balconys are in the shade after tea time. The staff are great, nothing is a problem. The back entrance is on a rather grubby street which could do with an update or even just a good clean, but most of the bars are very cheep and cheerful. The marina is only five minutes walk away,it has loads of bars and good places to eat,we found a place that sold a very good litre of sangria for only 6-50 euro and a pint for two.All in all a great place for a great holiday, and the extra bonus,,,,,,no kids,,,,,we left ours at home,,,,

Room Tip: try for a room on the west side for late sun on the balcony

My mother and I stayed here for a week in August 2013.

Although our initial experience of this hotel was somewhat lacking (having to wait two hours on arrival before being able to check in), the rest of the holiday, the hotel and surroundings were top notch.

The room was cleaned daily to an impeccable standard. Sun beds were plentiful (despite an over zealous French woman commandeering 6 for herself!). The food was nice but lacked variety. The location was 10/10; being so close to the beach and nearby shops and bars. The marina was a 5 minute walk which was stunning.

The manager was very hands-on and ensured our stay was to our standard by checking during dinner etc that we were having a nice time. A constant presence.

The hotel is aimed at 40+ adults and therefore the entertainment was not to my taste; Motown being an example.

The indoor pool was not filled as it was the summer season but the rest of the facilities: sauna, gym etc were clean and accessible.

The rooms were lovely. The beds were extremely comfortable and of a good size. However, the plug sockets were no where near a mirror forcing me to do my hair in the TV screen!

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to older couple.

Booked this hotel last minute as thought the British summer would never arrive...then we had the heatwave!! On first appearance the hotel is right on the street, which is a little 'run down', with no actual driveway or private entrance. However, they have refurbed the interior of the hotel recently and the decor is very modern, clean and tasteful. Warmly greeted by Reception staff and offered welcome drink. My room was not ready on arrival and I had to wait for over an hour; every time I went up to check they said it would be in 'a minute'. Room was very pleasant, and very nicely refurbished. Only criticism of accommodation was that the shower room leaked and flooded the floor each time it was used. Had booked half board, and the food was plentiful, but not always very inspiring, though I never went hungry. I could not recommend the evening entertainment - there was only one act during the week who could actually sing! Would I go back to this hotel again? Probably not, as the hotel location, although excellent for the Marina, was not as nice as it could have been. But overall not disappointed by Riu Nautilus - you can't go wrong with a Riu Hotel!!
