Although the Hotel was rated a 4* i dont feel it was, the staff were definatly 5* though, they could not do enough to help you, i went as a single person in a single room which meant paying a supliment which is fine, but my room was smaller than my shoe cupboard at home, on arrival i was very disappointed, i was on the first floor so i heard all conversations from the ground floor, ppl arriving, staff talking, lift going up and down, and the balcony well what can i say it was like been in a dog kennal, very small, enough for one chair and one table no room to chill out, it was very dark and dismal, they did move me to a much bigger room at a later date which overlooked the sea and the pool balcony much bigger, Torrromolinos was exellent so would go there again just not sure about the hotel which is a shame because staff were great, I wasnt over impresed with the food either, most of it was the same everynight, bigger veriety would have been nice or a change of menu. The hotel managers were excellent they greated you at all meals and walked around the pool everyday to see if all was well, top marks for that, the hotel itself was very clean, just not what i am used to for a 4/5 star. dissapointed.

Room Tip: Dont use the shop to the left of the hotel few more yrds to the right one much cheaper.

We stayed here for a week in August with our two children aged 17 and 20. Generally the hotel is very good with very helpful and friendly staff. The food was fantastic and the position in the resort is great. There are however some horible rooms very close to the road and overlooked by a large apartment block - watch out you don't get one of these! If we could guarante not being given one of these rooms we would go back.

The hotel is situated directly infront of the beach, resulting in views of the sea from many of the balconies, although our room directly faced an apartment block, there was no noise and to the left a beautiful sea view. The rooms were of a nice standard with many channels on the TV, 4 of them being English. They were cool with a ceiling fan and air con that worked properly with different settings. The food was delicious, with a great selection, including donuts available at breakfast! The service was excellent with very friendly waiters. There is a choice to sit outside on the balcony when eating, which is a plus as the view is very nice. The pool area is large with the sea directly infront, there are alot of sun loungers which are occupied early on in the day, but there are always odd ones available. There were some children in the hotel, but throughout the day there is a 'kids club' around the pool which keeps them busy, although we didn't notice them to be a nuisance at any time. All in all, this is a large hotel, where the service is not compromised in any form, the location is great with many restaurants and small pubs/bars to the front and the back alongside the beachfront. There is also a secure luggage room and 'courtesy room' available for a shower if departure is late in the day.

we just arrived from Torremolinos few days ago. Nautilus hotel was nice and clean. very friendly staff. We had a late check-in and again at check-out we had to leave the room at 12 o'clock, but it is a lagguages room which we used. i had the pleseant surprise as on my birthday in the morning I got a basket with fresh fruits, and at dinner time on our table was a candle and a bottle of champagne. Thank you all for that. I will never forget how nice you treated us. It might be that not everybody is happy, but is hard to please so many people. Overall we had a wonderfull holiday.

Just come back from a weeks holiday at the Riu Nautilus. I have stayed at many Rius and yet again, they never fail to please. I have to say that the food at this one was exceptional, probably the best out of all I have stayed at. Although it is one of the more established ones it didnt decry from it's value and cleanliness. If I had to find a fault it would be that the entertainment is not as brilliant at night, but then its hard to please everyone. It is only a five minuet walk from the Marina at Benalmadena so there is always plenty to do. If anyone has stayed at the Riu in Torrox then the manager of that hotel has just taken over the Nautilus as the one in Torrox has now become an iberostar and has gone up double the price.....gutted. Can recommend this hotel without doubt.

Room Tip: they have BBC 1 to watch at night too!!

My husband and I have just returned from a two week holiday in Riu Nautilus. We had a great time and must compliment the management and staff of the Riu. We arrived early in the morning and after a glass of bubbly were shown to our room. It was amazing - just as we had requested a high floor with a fab sea view. The balcony was small but sufficient for the two of us. The location of the hotel is excellent, just across the prom from the beach - a short stroll from the marina and a very pleasant stroll to Torremolinos. The local bus service is very good and very reasonably priced. We took the bus to Mijas and then to Fuengirola and had a lovely day exploring and spending time doing what we wanted to do and because we used public transport we could return when we wished.
Staff in the hotel were all very pleasant and helpful. The manager was always around keeping a close eye on what was happening and ensuring guets were having a good time. Fernando in the dining room added humour and developed a very good relationship with guests.
There was never a problem securing a sun lounger or umbrella - we had only to ask if an umbrella was not available and one was brought to us immediately.
Food was very good - always a good selection and plenty to choose from.
Would definitely recommend the Riu Nautilus and we hope to return.

Stayed here in March for 4 nights, weather was not great however the hotel made up for this in quality and facilities.

Half board is the norm and for a Riu hotel the breakfast is plentyful and he evening meal is great too always something on hand to eat.
