Variety of food at all meals good, wine, beer, soft drinks and water self service in restaurant. (Spirit measures poured in the bars are large up to 3 or 4 normal measures, beer and wine are not the highest quality but drinkable and we felt appropriate quality for the price we paid). Coffee and tea always available in restaurant or piano bar. One 1.5 litre bottle of water is provided in the room on arrival and more of the same size bottles are always available at the piano bar when required. Biscuits and small cakes are available from the piano bar also. It is a beachfront hotel with a lovely beach directly opposite, it has four outdoor and one indoor pools. It is not the hotel to go to if you want to be surrounded by sports bars and discos. Friday to Sunday is when the Spanish arrive for their weekend break. The hotel becomes full, queuing for food or the bar takes time however we found that the restaurant was busiest after 14:00 and 20:00 so eating before these times was good. It also applies that the bars are less busy while the restaurant is full. The noise levels rise also its very much a party atmosphere especially with the all inclusive alcohol. Then normality returns PM Sunday. As for the sickness bug that has been reported in previous reviews we did not have or hear of any problems while we were there. There were people who did not use the cleansing wash provided before going into the restaurant, we saw some people pick up food with their hands and put it down again into serving trays, some put their hands flat on plates to test if they were hot then chose another plate, some cut bread with their hands all over it instead of using cloths provided to stop people touching them. There is of course the other factor that some people are drinking vast quantities of alcohol which might be some of the cause of the "sickness bug" or contribute to it in some cases. Staff were always helpful & polite.
Bus L2 stops directly outside hotel entrance to Torremolinos bus terminus and town center (1.22 Euro each), there is also a direct bus (number 123, costs 1:50 Euro each) to Benalmadena Costa (harbour/marina and beach area that are certainly worth a look) that also stops outside hotel (it picks up on the main road in Benalmadena (the bus stops Torremolinos side of the Windmill roundabout as the bus comes from Torremolinos goes round the roundabout and then goes back and onto the Hotel) and also in the center of Torremolinos and returns past the hotel also when it comes back). We walked from the hotel to Castillo Bil Bil (a small castle like building on the sea front) at the far end of Benalmadena beach and it took about 2 hours walking time one way (we did stop for refreshments and to look round the port which is lovely). From the hotel it takes about 25 minutes to walk along the sea front to the lift up to Torremolinos town, if on the sea front turn right at the huge orange on the promenade and go up the road beside the Hostal Guadeluope, go about fifty yards uphill between shops and opposite the Ship Inn pub go left up some steps to the lift that costs 50 cents per person to go up or down (the lift is signposted from the sea front and the town (Asscensor)). There is a Panoramic view from just to the right of the top lift station. Walk almost straight ahead as you get out of lift station and you are at the start of the shops, restaurants and bars etc. The Beach Hotel is not centrally located but with two train stations (Los Alamos, La Colina (our preferred stop)) 10 minutes walk away and buses outside the door we found it very convenient (it was only three stops from the airport to La Colina, about a ten minute train journey and a further ten minute walk downhill to the hotel). There is also a coach from the airport to Torremolinos that stops outside the hotel and takes about twenty minutes to the hotel but does not run very often where as the trains are every 20 minutes

If you like. lamb, steak, Pork, fish, all show cooked it was pretty average i dont think so What more can you ask for? it is really difficult to find better value for money!
We have been here many times for breaks and holidays, this hotel really trys very hard to get it right, a better attempt at bacon this year but still not there yet, keep trying just ditch the oil.
plenty of very fresh salad, missed green peppers though
I think an improvement but it has been 2 years since last visit
Drinks spot on,bit of rola cola coke, but good does the trick, new Tv in room all tuned in to english Tv, very hot water, clean what more can you want for a spanish holiday.
Entertainment slightly better than last time but needs improvement!
Definitely the best value Spanish Hotel I have stayed at!
I will definitely re visit cheaper than UK, if you can get somewhere that has a bit of sun all inclusive in the UK I would like to hear.
Thanks to all the Staff

the hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways food was good dining room usual type for all inclusive, food and drink was readily available almost all day and evening.the lounge and bar area was nice with comfortable areas to sit. rooms were very clean with very comfortable beds and good views, we had no trouble with noise only the wind whipping around some days.the bus service which takes you to the airport, torremolinos and belamadina is right by the hotel and very cheap. the train is not far away about 5-10 mins walk can go as far as fueingerola again doesnt cost much.one place you must go to is Mollina de inca botanical gardens we went by taxi was 8 euros and we walked back via torremolinos resort and sea-front.all in all we had a very good stay here can walk along beach-front to torremolinos plenty of places to stop for a drink or ice-cream. entertainment okay nothing special but we sat in bar listening to music having a nice drink playing cards, also good channels on tv can get all basic english ones. indoor pool small outdoor ones nice sat by them a lot.spanish families came fri lunchtime and left after lunch sunday , wasnt a problem to us we had peace and quiet, in the bar they did let their children run around, was a bit concerned about safety in case they knocked someone over carring a drink but it was only for a short time so didnt bother us that much at all. this hotel is only about 10 mins from airport so could get bus or taxi from airport makes for an easy trip, enjoy, we did.

Room Tip: poolside rooms 1-15 on any floor have sun all day on balconies and best views we had 901 right on en...

Went to the Marconfort for a week in Jan 2013
Friendly staff
Rooms cleaned everyday
Food was basic nothing exciting Seemed to be more choice when the Spanish arrived at the weekends
Sunny most of the time so managed to sit out for an hour or so in the afternoon But struggled to find any seats that didn't have bird dropping on Didn't expect to clean seats before we could sit on them
Drinks was alot better than most of the all inclusive we have been on
Entertainment was hit & miss more miss than hit

If you are a regular winter all-inclusive sunshine holidaymaker like me then the Marconfort is a cut above the rest. This is the 5th different hotel ive stayed in on a January break and it was the best. When I say ‘best’ of course you will know what the standard is. Up until the Marconfort the best I had stayed in was the Amaika in Calella. Marconfort is better because the food was much better on some of the nights (proper roast chicken, roast pork, salmon, beef, burritos – all very good quality). Some days it wasn’t great but you expect this on such a cheap break. Beds very comfortable and the free bike use was appreciated on the cloudy days. Entertainment every night was a plus even if it wasn’t, to me, that entertaining. A disco after the entertainment would be a cheap and cheerful way to make it more fun. Management really make the effort to give VFM in this hotel. On the negative side the white wine was pretty awful even for this type of holiday where you get used to it. So poor we actually went out and bought some! That was a first.

Room Tip: 1-6 or 11-14 on any floor puts you on the sunny afternoon side of the hotel
