We just came back from our stay at sol timor and we are booking to stay here again.
We forgot to check in online for our return flights and print off our boarding passes so was in a bit of a panic however the staff were very helpful and did it all for us and printed them off.
Looking at the previous reviews we did have some soap in our room but took our own anyway and we did have clean sheets too.
Its in a great location right on the beach and in the middle of everything but quiet at night.
The food was ok but we found nothing everything was labelled and any left overs from the night before would be battered and served for breakfast including battered cauliflower, broccoli and even mash potatoe and I did find myself eating a couple of fish fins too that hadn't be cut off.
There is a supermarket in the hotel so would advise buying drinks in there as its only 0.95 cents for a can of san Miguel so a lot cheaper than buying from the bar.
The hotel could do with a make over and it is listed as 4 star on most sites but its only 3 so you get what you expect for a 3 star.
I would advise taking abit of extra cash as its 2.50 euros each for the sunbed for one day but I think this is due to it being by the sea and people who don't stay in the hotel use them too.
The hotel is very clean and the staff are very trusting there was a time that we left our phone and money on the side by accident and the cleaner hadn't touched it.
If you need to use the internet I would advise not paying for the hotels wifi all the time we sat on the beach just outside the hotel on the sunbeds and paid 4.50 euros each as you get free wifi just make a note of the password or take a picture of it them you cna use it all week and not pay for it :)
If you looking for a cheap easy holiday with a great transfer time I would recommended booking with on the beach and we paid £600 half board with great flights transfers and extra baggage and its really easy to follow MAKE SURE YOU SELECT A SEA VIEW THOUGH AS YOU WONT BE HAPPY WITH ANY OF THE OTHER VEIWS YOU MAY GET.

Room Tip: They don't have a spa or fitness room.

Fed up of work and rain so booked a 4night self catering late deal.Had requested a high floor and sea view and got just what i'd asked for. Was on the 10th floor and the view was lovely, was in block 3 which got the sun in the morning. Had a studio which was quite spacious, liked the idea of the wee kitchen being seperate which has a toaster microwave and hob u'll need to take your own kettle tho. The hotel is in a great location plenty of shops pubs and restaurants all on your door step the supermarket in the hotel has a good variety and is reasonably priced. If you want to go into the centre of Torremolinos there's a bus that runs every half hour and costs 1.20 euro. the only downside is the hotel charge 2.50euros for the sunbeds I personally prefer the beach to the pool. if you go to the beach to the right hand side of the hotel once you buy your sunbed ask the guy to put the acess code in and u'll get free wifi on the beach or sitting on the wee wall, kept my other half amused while I was sunbathing we were connected for the 4 days we were there saves paying hotel prices, quite alot of the pubs have free wifi too

we booked this trip based on reviews on the internet. we truely believe most of the reviews must of been written by the hotel staff. once we checked in we learned that we had to buy our own soap, our own shampoo, etc, etc. we asked for a hair dryer and learned that we had to rent one for our stay which costs 5 x´s what a new hair dryer would cost. the safe deposit box was available but that too cost to rent every day. the chairs at the pool are also available however you have to rent them by the day. the rooms are very small and very worn. maid service will change you sheets after four days and towels after two days. when we first checked in i noticed two small holes in my bed sheets. seven days later i still had the same sheets as they were never changed after four days. the desk staff is very helpful and it appears even they are a little embarrassed with all the costs the hotel charges. unfortunately my wife and i stayed during a time when there was a large group of young men that drank and partied all through the day and night. we had to request a change of floors as we werñ´t able to sleep for two nights. the only thing sol timor has to offer is it´s location. it is directly on the ocean and you can walk to anything. the owners should renovate the entire building and especially the are where there is carpeting. if you stay, avoid their internet services. they are very costly and there is an internet cafe approximately two blocks away.

Room Tip: always ask for a room facing the pool on at least the 5th floor

The location of hotel is great, near the beach pubs Marina and restaurants, nice pool also but the rooms are outdated and small, we came across a couple of cockroaches in room but this can happen anywhere, the room we were in had an updated kitchen but was still too small a refurb is needed something like the riu nautilus next door. Prices are reasonable but you pay for what you get

We stayed here for a week at Easter. We were very happy with the hotel. The staff were all helpful & friendly. The room was nice & clean, we were on the 8th floor overlooking the pool. Our daughter went to the kids club for a couple of days & she just loved it (it was €10.50 per day). Then they had a “mini disco” at 9pm before the evening entertainment which was great because we got to sit with a drink while watching her having fun. I really can’t praise the kid’s club staff enough; they were very good with the children. They also have a games room downstairs (although some of the tables were out of order), with a lovely large lounge that didn’t seem to be used much, although maybe it’s used in busier times. There is a small shop with all the essentials.
The hotel is in a great location; go out the back entrance and you are on the sea front, with loads of little shops, restaurants & bars. We didn’t eat in the hotel as there was so much choice near by.
If I had to pick a negative point it would be that you have to hire a kettle from reception at a cost of €10 for the week (& €20 refundable deposit).

Room Tip: If you are thinking of doing a day trip, go round the corner to the travel agent as the excursions a...

We stayed at the Sol Timor apartments last week & found It's location is second to none, right on the beach. You can hear the sea while lying in bed. It is also only a short walk to the Marina with it's many excellent bars and restaurants. The rooms are dated but clean. There is a little bit of a smell in the room but once you keep the kitchen window open and the bathroom fan on it is really fine. It is good value for money and has you right in the middle of everything. McGuinnesses Irish put across the road is a must. Great music and very friendly. Very good value food in several restaurants out the front door of the hotel. If you have a late flight the hotel have an lugage hold area and a very clean shower facility that you can use. I dont like the idea that they charge 2.50 per day for the beds around the pool it can make it expensive especially for a family.
I will be going back for sure.!

Room Tip: Block 3 has nice views of the sea. The view of the sea was super.
