We didn't accept the room in Hotel Don Pedro.
We returned the key and contacted our travel agent.

Look the following picture.

They have the right to make construction though there are customers who try to stay in the hotel in the middle of repair.

OH NO!

Stayed at the Don Pedro for a week over Xmas 2006. Shared facilities with the 2 sister hotels Don Marco and the Don Pablo. All 3 hotels are linked to each other. Decoration was traditional Spanish style. Our room was small for a family of 4, but as we were on a budget we had chosen the cheapest family room. Room size really didn't matter as we weren't in it much. The room was cleaned every day and towels were changed daily aswell. The beds were changed twice in the week. There was some refurb being done to some of the rooms on our floor but it didn't affect us atall. Food quality was excellent with plenty of choice for everyone at every mealtime. The entertainment was very good, quite professional. Staff spoke good English and were very helpfull. There were at least 5 outdoor pools and jacuzzis, which were too cold to swim in. There was also an indoor pool and jacuzzi. The indoor pool was the main reason that we chose this hotel as we have 2 children who love to swim. The hotel has a beachfront location at the start of Torremolinos. Its only approx 15 minutes away from the airport. There were lots of airplanes flying in and out but we didn't hear them. If staying at this hotel ask for a pool view room as the front of the hotel looks out onto the carpark. The only complaint we had was that as we arrived on Xmas eve we were told that the dinningroom had closed early therefore we couldn't have anything to eat. We had to go to a chinese restauraunt. Would definetly reccomend this hotel for any age group, and we hope to return for Xmas 2007. Excellent value for money!!!

We stayed at the Don Pablo for 5 days in September. We live in Gibraltar and have travelled all over the costa,Fuen, Benal & Torre staying at various hotels and this has to be the worst.

The hotel surroundings are very nice i admit and the foyer and general building very good.
However, the rooms, whilst a good size are in a very poor state of repair, our 1st room, the plug sockets were hanging off the wall, pictures and lights were also hanging down. The room had been repainted in patches but it was adifferent shade to the original so stuck out. The other rooms were not much better.

The worst thing was the food! It was terrible, the breakfast was very poor, luckily we like churros but the bacon looked like it had just been shown a frying pan instead of been cooked in it, the sausage half the time were like the party hot dog sausages you get in the uk, eggs not cooked properly etc.

The evening meal was not much better, same things over again and not very well cooked, if you dont like sea food muscles etc then its chips and meat of some description. If you are vegetarian then dont bother, the 1st night an English lady could not find anything and had to ask the Manager of the restaurant if they could do her something for the next night, even the pasta had meat!!

The choice of desserts were ice cream, then watermelon 1 night, then Piel de Sapo the next and the fresh fruit looked as though it had been there all summer!

The staff were excellent, very friendly no problem whatsoever with them. The night time entertainment also very good most nights. However, if you want to get seats then arrive early as there are only 100 tables shared between 3 hotels.

The location is ok, you can get to Benalmadena easily either by walking along the front which is a very nice walk to the puerto marina and beyond or bus and you are also close to Torre centre, bus/train etc.

Overall i dont see how it gets its 4* rating, we have stayed in other 4* which are much better, the food is only 3* at best and the rooms not much better.

I have read reviews that say the Don Pablo is better than the Pedro (the 3*hotel), if true then i hate to think what the rooms are like over there.

If you do go to Torre or Benal then one of the things to do is to go on the Tereferico Cable Car, the views are spectacular and the shows very good, well worth the money.

We have just returned from a 10 night holiday and can't really fault the hotel. As the other reviews say, it is set in grounds with the Don Marco and Don Pablo. Both of those hotels are 4 star, but you still get to use all of their facilities except the restaurant.

The hotel itself was much older than the others, but was amazingly clean. The beds were changed daily and the rooms were spotless.

The complex of the three hotels was brilliant. I was expecting to have to walk ages to get to the other hotels pools etc.. but it was all set within the centre of the three and we really couldnt work out which pool went with which hotel. I lost count trying to see how many pools there were (we found two more and a jacuzzi near the end of our holiday). You will find a pool to suit your needs whatever your taste. Some had mainly adults, some mainly children.

A few of the former reviews said that the hotel was not really good for children but I didn't find this the case. The kids club was brilliant and there was a mini disco every night which my 7 year old loved. While the hotel is not like some that are full of screaming kids, my son made loads of friends and thought it was the best hotel in the world.

The club house lets you borrow many different games for a 5euro deposit. Scrabble, jenga etc etc.

There was table tennis, water polo, bowls and loads of other things that I didnt get around to. There were two shows every evening, one in Don Pedro at 10pm and one in Don Pablo at 11pm. While some of these were rubbish many were very very good, however if you are going for two weeks you might get the same one twice.

Food was typical buffet, but always hot and well cooked. There is constantly food being cooked in front of you throughout the evening (chicken, kebabs, fish etc.) and to get if freshly cooked was always better.

Great hotel, fantastic location although we never made it to the beach, too much to do at the hotel. However although I would definately go back to the resort, I would stay at the Don Marco (stunning!!!!). We booked directly with the hotels website and seemed to pay considerably less than most of the package holiday people there.

As other reviews have said the facilities and cleaness of the hotel was good. There was a good selction of food unless you are vegetarian like me then really its just salad!!! I would recommend getting the bus to puerto marina for some lovley bars and resturants. The location of the hotel is good for the beach and the town centre is about a 10 minute walk up hill. If you want quiet relaxing days then this is a great hotel, if you want loud music and bars head to the 24 hour square in Belemadena. we generally thought the hotel was good all round value for money.
