Gran Cervantes by Blue Sea
Ranked #36 of 71 Hotels in Torremolinos
Reviewed August 8, 2007

Hotel was lovely, very clean. Rooms sufficient in size and most with a sea view. Probably located in the nicest part of Torremolinos and didnt see any other hotel that came close.
Only 4 lifts for the size of hotel results in some queues but not too bad - there are always the stairs.
Didnt use the main pool as it was always very busy (peak season) - used the rooftop pool on 9th floor, much quieter to enjoy the sun in peace!
Mainly Spanish and German guests - was nice not to be surrounded by brits - the same goes across Torremolinos.
Beach is close by but at the bottom of the hill, lift is available at 0.5 Euro a time, winding steps also available at the bottom of San Miguel - not too bad!
Would definitely return.

Hotel was a in a great location , close o the beach via steep steps or a lift if you are lazy ... close to the shops and the bars ( gay scene ! )
I found the room ok was big but the bathroom could do with a re-think , maybe the whole room could do with a re vamp but again it was fine !

The food ... well it wasnt 4 star..the food was not hot espcially the breakfast.. if you like chips in the evening then you will be fine but the meat was tasty sometimes too much garlic which I hate but the deserts were always the same nearly every night !
I found the staff could not really cope well when it got busy ie you had to wait for food , plates , cups

Again when it got busy you had to wait ages for a lift in the hotel , we ended up walking up to our room ( on the 8th floor ! ! ) but the exercise was good , wasnt it ? ?

So I found the satff very friendly they got to know what room we were in .. I didnt use the bar or the hotel pool so cant comment on that...

So would I stay here again ? ? well maybe due to the loccation of the Hotel....
