Stayed at this hotel for a weeks half board. Reception area is very clean with plenty of room, the staff was quick and helpful. The relaxing area within the reception is contemporary, there is a big bar in the middle with a piano to the side and large sofas, soft chairs and coffee tables, beyond that is a games room (pool, air hockey, table football). There's 3 lifts to accommodate 8 floors. On the left of the lifts is the stairs to the restaurant and on the right is the bar area which leads outside to a terrace and grass area with loungers and pool. The hallways are well maintained and clean. The room was large and clean, the balcony had a sea view, the bed was comfortable though did have to ask for an extra pillow. The en-suite had a bath with a shower over which worked very well, the hair-dryer worked well. The room was efficiently cleaned daily. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, nicely presented and cooked well. Evening meal was the same with plenty of choice, meats, fish, pizza, rice etc. (especially enjoyed the desserts) Service was good. On the roof top is an indoor pool (pics a bit deceiving as it's not as big as it looks, though still good enough, and there's a small gym area but don't expect much if your a gym member! There's also sun loungers which I loved as it was so different. (was warm enough to sunbath) Out of the hotel it was a 5 min walk to the beach, either by walking down some steps passing gift shops and coffee shops on the way or via a sloping path beside the road. The underground train station is at the back of the hotel, not even a 5min walk away if coming out of the back of the hotel. The beach front is clean and tidy, there was always some cleaning mini truck along the walkway and I often saw the beach being racked by a small tractor even though no one was on the beach in Feb as a bit chilly in the sea! There is plenty of places to wander to, shops next to the hotel, marina, gift shops along seafront and coffee bars. The only thing I found strange for a large hotel is that they didn't offer free WiFi, which most places do, and when you paid for it, you could only use one device. I would stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Sea view balcony's has the sun in the morning, other's has sun in afternoon.

Stayed at this resort for a long weekend from the 8th to the 11th Feb. First impressions of the hotel it was very nice and clean, checked in which was a doddle then set off for our room, was quite a long wait for the lifts which wasnt a problem considering how busy the hotel was over the weekend. Rooms were nice and clean and spacious our balcony was tiny as we were on a corner, the mattress was quite hard on the bed and could of done with an extra pillow and the bathroom was quite small but did us for the amount of time we would be staying in there. Food there was quite a bit of choice if you liked fish which i dont but managed to find something to eat, one thing that annoyed me was some people filled there plates with so much food even though they could of gone back for more. Orange juice was horrible and i couldnt just get a glass of fizzy pop until about 11 o clock when the bar opened. Drinks at the bar were good and the service was great. We couldnt of asked for better weather either for february. There was plenty of places to wander out and about the hotel and wasnt a long walk down to the beach front. Which we found a lovely bar called lowrys which did a cracking fry up. The train station was just 5 mins walk from the hotel which we took to visit belmendina on the sunday was cheap as chips and was only two stops away. Would stay at this hotel again if i was to visit torremilnos and would defo book through easyjet holidays again.

Our son had just married and my wife and I were due a well deserved break. We flew Ryanair from Prestwick in Scotland. We landed in Malaga a few minutes late but all well. The return flight was similar. The train is only 2-300 metres from Malaga airport. Get single tickets at €1.70 each. Don't get a return as it is for the return that day only. Trains run every 20 minutes and the trip is 10 minutes.
From the station we had a 3 minute walk to the entrance of the Hotel. Our room was on the 5th floor and was quite adequate, clean, old fashioned furniture and a nice balcony. The tv has only 2 English speaking stations. Not a real problem we are on holiday.
We were on an all inclusive board. Food was generally good with something for everyone. Lots of fish and Spanish food that was not to a number of vociferous guests liking. It is Spain for heaven's sake. Waiters/waitresses in the dining area were very nice.
Drinks were of the local variety and not good. Gin was passable and the beer was San Miguel. The bar staff were not at all friendly with 2 barmen taking 5 days to say anything other than si for what would you like sir. One barman stood out a Juan Sevrier a credit to the Hotel and a real worker.
The Reception staff were ok Professional but a little cold for my liking.
In this day and age I believe WiFi should be free in a 4* Hotel. Here it costs €33 / week. Similarly the safe costs the guest €3/day.
Would I go back - yes/ perhaps.

Hotel Cervantes used to be the top even back in the 1980´ but the golden days are long gone. There are only three good things about Cervantes: location, location and location. It is in the middle of everything. The rooms look like back in the 1970` and the towels - maybe once white, thick and soft - are now grey and hard. I wash my floors with better quality. If you want to stay in Cervantes pay some extra of the sea view (7.th or 8th. floor). The beds are really hard as if you slept on a stone. The breakfast is good: there is something for everybody. My rate for Cervantes max 2,5 stars. We are not going to return to this hotel. Not worth the money. The walls are so thin you can hear someone next room fart.

Room Tip: Up you go with the sea view (7th. or 8th. floor), pay some extra.

This is the second time at this hotel and I thought I would give it another chance. The food has not improved it is still aimed towards the Europeans and is very bland. I am not fussy but I could not eat it and would often end up in one of the local restaurants. I cannot fault the hotel on location or cleanliness it is really central and that is what draws us back to this hotel. I would recommend this hotel on a self catering basis.
The rooms were basic the same as every other hotel in the area and the cleaners came in everyday, it is a spotless hotel but they do need to really have to take into consider that they have to cater for British people's tastes when it comes to food.

The hotel is a dominating monstrosity in an overall quite ugly and tacky town but the location is excellent for the central shops in Calle San Miguel and nightlife of the La Nogalera being only a few minutes walk away. Likewise with the railway station which cuts out the need for a taxi from the airport... the station at Málaga airport is just across the road from the terminal and at Torremolinos, there is an escalator to take you up to street level making it very easy if you have heavy luggage but going back to the airport, there is no escalator taking you down to the platform so it is far better to catch the bus from the main road just beyond the station, marked AEROPUERTO which runs every 20 minutes or so.
Our room 627 gave us a direct sea view from a reasonable sized balcony supplied with 2 plastic garden chairs... so no reclining sun-loungers or side table but hardly attractive because of the dominant side wing of the hotel on one side and a hideous tall building on the other.
The overall impression of our room, as with the hotel, is that it is dated and tired. The bathroom had a distinct odour of "drains" which we mentioned to reception who blamed the smell on the plumbing from rooms above! We covered all drain outlets with tissues and kept the bathroom door closed which made a marginal improvement but maid service removed these each time. We had only one socket in the bathroom and one in the lounge (by unplugging the telephone) so if you have mobiles to charge, electric toothbrushes, shavers and so on it is wise to take with you sufficient 2-pin continental adapter plugs. If you want to connect to the internet you are badly ripped-off as you have to pay dearly for the privilege @ 9 euros a day for WIFI, or 1 euro for 10 minutes on their computer next to reception. A dated TV has only BBC World and CNBC (American) in English yet given the vast numbers of British guests, this is surely inadequate. There are 4 small lifts which are very slow and usually stop at every floor because guests are calling for lifts from all floors of this large hotel.
As this is principally a holiday hotel, we didn't like breakfast time from 7a.m. finishing so early at 10a.m. Surely the breakfast could be extended until 11a.m.? Whilst the breakfast selection is extensive, we disliked almost all the 'hot' dishes being at best, lukewarm if not cold. No fruit juices are provided; only water and really disgusting sweet syrup-based synthetic flavoured orange and pineapple from a machine with miniscule glasses for these.,,, see the picture! No trays are provided so making it more difficult to carry more than one of these glasses to your table with food! (As if you would want to!) Also, the coffee, again from a machine, was very weak and poor quality. Juices and better coffee could be ordered but these are charged for even if you are on BB or half-board.
Again, the dinner selection is extensive but again, the 'hot' dishes were mostly, at best, lukewarm unless you are lucky enough to be serving yourself when a new batch arrives or on the hot counter, as the cook removes cooked food from the hot plate. Desserts lacked flavour and were generally over-sugary which is hardly good and healthy given the vast number of very overweight, if not obese, mainly British guests. This hotel does feeding on an "industrial" scale and upon reflection it would have been far more enjoyable to have searched out cafes and restaurants in the town... with the hotel's guests doing this, there would be a significant boost for the local economy which looked to be suffering badly in the economic crisis.
So, on balance, if this is one of the better hotels in Torremolinos given its 4-star ranking, whatever must the others be like? The stay here was disappointing as the quality and service failed to live up to expectations and the preponderance of obese and 'common' (!) fellow-guests added to the underwhelming experience.
