Just back from week there. Lovely Hotel great location. Central for all parts of Torremolinos.
Spectacular views and a good ambience. We stayed bed and breakfast, using option of eating out at night. Great restaurants walking to right past headland, great choice and prices.
Pool area not particularly big for size of Hotel but beach straight across from Hotel. Towels as often as you like. Oscar the pool attendant best I have ever come across, his manner and helpfulness a total joy. Breakfast Superb. All staff very polite and welcoming.
Great location for exploring all of Torremolinos which is a large area.
Will go back for sure.

Room Tip: Use B Wing, Sun in balcony. When using pool area use beds to left of pool, Sun longer.

My wife and I recently stayed here during August Bank Holiday weekend.

It was a great location as it was metres from the beach and local restaurants, the room size was excellent as was the amenities provided and the cleaning services good.

We used the Spa service offered which we found to be lovely inside the hotel complex and quiet as well which was handy, I think this as most of the people were outside on the Sun beds by the Pool (which is a bit on the small side). The restaurant in the hotel was also nice.

I cant fault the hotel, if you want to be close to the beach, near some nice resteraunts and local tourist haunts then I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the Melia Costa Del Sol for seven nights. Again the cool freshness of the reception makes an initial good impression. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This time I was on the third floor on the opposite side of the hotel to last time and I must say this was better. I think it was block B. The sun was on the room in the afternoon allowing you to bask in the sun on the balcony if you were feeling lazy. A little criticism here. The room's air conditioning was very noisy and without much control over the temperature. It was either too cool or too warm.

The breakfast was again wonderful, with everything you could reasonably want for the first meal of the day. My only criticism is that the toasting machines are just too slow and seem to baffle many of the guests.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the side of the hotel where the sun shines in the afternoon.

We stayed in Malaga for 3 days due to business. Since it was August, we did not feel like staying in the Malaga downtown. Almost every place was either full, or had a 5 to 7 nights minimum stay requirement. After all, it is a tourist area and it was in the middle of the busiest season.

The hotel is located on the beach, just a walk away from Playa de Carihuela, but on the north side of the little cape separating the beaches.

The room was not a big on, a little tired, but really, a nice pleasant surprise.

I was given a room in the 2nd floor and at first I did not like it all, but later I found it ok. No noise of traffic or anything else, and you did not have to wait for the elevators.

The beach if right across the road. The pool is very small and gets full really quickly, so did not try that one.

The breakfast buffet was quite large with ok variaty of stuff. No complains really.

A good relaxing stay.

Stayed in Sept.2013 as part of a Jet2 Holiday, found the hotel to be well located, over the road from the beach and a short walk either way for bars and restaurants, however we ate in the hotel restaurant, food was buffet style with plenty to choose from, English breakfast was served as well as continental, and the omelettes were amazing, evening meals again help yourself with a huge choice again. All room have a sea view, however Junior room which are an upgrade with a charge are on the front with extended balcony's, normal rooms are spacious, two beds dressing table, TV (Spanish), safety deposit box in wardrobe free of charge, bathroom bath/shower, bidet, sink and hairdryer, clean towels daily. There is a lift to the Town Centre, however the streets of shops and stalls UP St.Miguel Street is the way to go if you can manage it, very enjoyable. There are various English/Irish bars dotted about which show sports/football matches. There is a Gym and spa in the hotel, from my limited knowledge looked well equipped.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, but you can upgrade, unfortunately I do not know the price.

We stayed for 6 days in September. Rooms was modern and clean. The bed was great. The terrace had a full ocean view. Breakfast was good with plenty of food options and champagne.
Dont miss the Spa. The salt water pool with jets is awesome. Also had a massage which was very nice. Very reasonable. We had a rental car and drove to Granada and Ronda with no problem. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in the Melia for 2 nights at the end of August in a double room and it was well equiped and relatively spacious. All rooms do have a seaview but i would recommend you ask for a room overlooking the pool. My room was overlooking the conference Center and a pathway and did have a view of the sea albiet a bit obscured.
There is secure parking at a cost of 18 euros per day if required and the Hotel staff are nice and friendly.
In comparison to other Hotels on the beach this is probably the best of the bunch. It is probably more expensive than the rest but Location is good and it is clean.
Regarding torremolinos, i was there towards the end of the season, so it was not a Problem to get the pick of loungers on the beach at a cost of about 4 euros per day. I went to the beach because most of the loungers at the pool at the Hotel were already taken by 10am.
In summary, if you are going to torremolinos i would recommend this Hotel. If you just want to lie by the pool, be quick to secure your lounger!

Room Tip: overlooking the pool!
