My mum, daughter and I stayed in this hotel at the end of June 2013 and I must say it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was basic and quite small but it was clean and well maintained. We were half board and the food was buffet style and lots of it it was easy to change to lunch if you wanted to take a walk out in the evening. The hotel was in a complex of 3 hotels and it was ideally situated 20 minutes from the airport. It was across the road from the beach which was well maintained. You had to pay a deposit or your towels and if you wanted a change of towel it was €1 also if you wanted wifi you had to pay for it. There was a fridge in the room which was handy for storing water. The entertainment at the hotel was brilliant there was lots on day and night. Every evening they had a mini disco for the children which was brilliant the only thing was if you were staying longer than a week the mini disco is very repetitive and children may get bored with it especially if they are age 7 up..there was a kids club which was from 10.30- 1.00 and then from 3.00- 4.30 again it was quite repetitive and could introduce more activities for the children especially for the older children.
It is a very child friendly resort with lots of lovely restaurants along the sea front and mini golf close by.
Overall we had a great holiday and will definitely go back to it again. I would ask for a sea view and get a taxi from the airport as our transfers left us sitting on a bus for an hour before we left the airport.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

just returned from 11 nights at this fantastic hotel with my partner and 7 year old son.

we flew into malaga and jumped into a taxi which was 18 euros and a 15 minute drive to the hotel, first impressions of the hotel were very good, a grand lobby marble floors good lighhting large leather sofas etc gave it a very classy feel which i was not expecting.

the reception staff were very efficient and got us booked in quickly with no hassles, we had requested a lower floor due to our 7 year old which had been taken care of in advance.

on the way up to the room i was impressed with how clean the whole place was, the room was no different, very clean and well made up. the room had everything you need hairdryer, fridge 3 beds plenty of towels and bedding, combs shaving kits and shower gel, small tv and air con which was a godsend.

the pools are set over 3 hotels and they are fantastic, and range from small shallow pools for kids up to a huge very deep pool which is central to the 3 hotels which feels like its heated.
the pools are being monitored by life guards at all times, a thumbs up to the lifeguards as they let the kids get on with it without blowing their whistle every 5 minutes which has happened often elsewhere, and when needed just come along and have a quiet word.

weve heard people complaining about people reserving sunbeds but this wasnt an issue, we were there for 11 nights and managed to get a sunbed everyday in the location we wanted with no hassles.

on to the entertainment this was the highlight of our holiday as the team are excellent a big thank you to jonny, polly, maria marco and lorraines favourite Miguel.

these guys work so hard doing keep fit, volleyball, water aerobics and kids club during the day before going on to do some excellent family shows in the evenings these guys are the heart and soul of the place for me.

also at the hotel there are two full size bowling greens and table tennis tables with all equipment avaialable free of charge which was good fun.

there are several restaurants dotted about the complex but we only ate at the cordoba simply because it was excellent and was all we needed, the food was varied and plenty full, most nights there were 3 or 4 types of fish including squid and a whole salmon, steaks, pork and lamb chops, lots of vegetables and salads and italian corner even champagne at breakfast if required, there really is something for everyone and lots of it the staff are also friendly and courteous.

other points are the hotel is literally only yards from the beach and promenade walk, and the other entrance is only a very short walk from the markets and torremalinos old town with lots of tapas bars and restaurants.

the only minor issue at all with the hotel is that we found the drinks at the bar to be quite pricy which was odd as the drinks in the restaurant were well priced, that being said the staff seem to have no issue with you taking a bottle from the restaurant up to the entertainment area, but this really is only a minor issue.

overall it is a fantastic place for the family, so good in fact we only returned yesterday and have all ready booked again for next year, which will give me plenty of time to get in shape to compete against muscles miguel.

Stayed here mid-June for the second year running. Lovely hotel, great location for a short break as just 10minutes from the airport. Landed at Malaga at 11am and was checked in and on a sun lounger by 11:45. Receptionist was really helpful and got us a room early and on the first floor as requested. Food was nice, plenty of choice especially for breakfast. Location of hotel is lovely right on the beach and just a couple of minutes walk to the centre of town. Pool area got very busy and could do with a couple more parasols as if you we're later than 8:15am you had no chance. Also disappointed they have stopped the free wifi as that was a nice extra which I missed this year, I know there is a pay option but when it's just emails for work don't want to be paying extra. Overall like the hotel and resort and will be back again soon I'm sure!

My husband and I stayed at the Don Pablo 7th-14th July this year. The hotel was very clean and very nice.We loved the well maintained gardens and beautiful flowers. The food was varied , well presented and fresh. We didnt know were to start there was so much choice. The well starched table cloths and linen napkins was a nice touch.I thought at first choosing a hotel so close to the beach could have been a big mistake .When we walked outside in the evening the prom was packed with people walking late into the night. When the entertainment finished you could sit on the balcony and hear a pin drop. We stayed at a 5 star hotel last year and this hotel was even better. There was a lot of Spanish people holidaying at the Hotel and I have always taken this as a good sign of quality. The only compilant was the reserving of the sun beds. I watched as beds were reserved with towels first thing in the morning and long after we left the pool area the beds had never been used and people struggled to find a bed.We would consider returning again next year.Lovely restful holiday and we would recommend this hotel to everyone

Room Tip: Rooms on the right handside (the side oppsite side to the entertainment area) are quieter

This is a very nice clean hotel in a lovely location very near the beach.
Plenty of nice restaurants within the vicinity.
We were only B & B but the food was varied for breakfast with lots of fresh fruit etc
The hotel needs to get a grip on it's 'reserving of sunbeds' policy as every morning at 9.00am 90% of sunbeds had towels on them - then at 11.30am they still had towels on them but no holiday makers, it was crazy. We witnessed a very angry lady speaking to security staff about this but they didn't seem to do anything about it.
Entertainment staff work hard and are very friendly.

Dear Yorkshiregal_11,
Thank you very much for your review. I am really glad that you enjoyed the hotel and the surrounding area so much.
I have taken note of your comment regarding the sunbeds. We are currently putting in place new signs and will be more attentive. In the past we have never had a problem with this as can be seen in old TA posts. As we have 9 pools and as many different sunbathing terraces there have always been plenty of beds available. It is true that this July we have encountered more people putting towels out in the morning than ever before (not quite 90%, I have to say) although the first week of August it has reverted to the usual few guests who want a specific spot. I am sorry that you were inconvenienced and hope that it won't put you off returning one day.
Kind regards,
Jaime Floyer.

I stayed here with my husband and 2 children. The hotel is very nice and very clean.
The food was very nice and fresh.
I would describe the hotel as still very traditional. There seemed to be a lot of Spanish people holidaying in the hotel. There was no rowdy behaviour or noise.
The entertainment was ok.
We preferred to go out and about. Lots for young children to do and plenty places to walk to and see.
No complaints but we were disappointed as we were allocated a room on the top floor with no balcony. Told by the receptionist this was our only choice because there were 4 of us. Found this hard to believe.
I would return to torremolinos.

This hotel is the best. My girlfriend and I have went here 2 years in a row and will continue to do so as it is a great hotel! In fact, we came back from our holiday in June and are going again in August!

The hotel has a fantastic buffet in the morning. There are all types of foods including: pancakes, doughnuts, rashers, sausages, all types of fruit, yoghurts, cereal, juices, alcohol, breakfast meats, cheeses, pastries and much much more!

The hotel is massive and the rooms are very nice. They are well kept and all balconies usually give a great view of the coast. The rooms are cleaned and the staff are friendly.

The hotel staff are great. The entertainers are brilliant, particularly Jonni who entertains the pool with his Zumba and water aerobics. The same staff entertain your kids and have adult entertainment. The shows at night are what you can expect but entertaining none the less.

The pool area itself is the most impressive. There are 4/5 pools and none of them are ever too busy so it is perfect for a dip! There is also an outdoor jacuzzi which is nice to relax in.

Room Tip: All rooms we have stayed in were excellent but a pool room view was the most enjoyable!
