stayed here for 3 nights with my fiance and just want to say what a lovely hotel it was.it was extremely inexpensive for all that the hotel came with..the fact you could use the pools and jacuzzis of the other sol don hotels next door was a bonus..never any trouble getting sunbeds, great evening entertainment, superb location-just across an unbusy road to the beach, spotlessly clean what more do you want..recommend when leaving the hotel in the evening, turn right and walk to pharmacy, turn right there and follow the winding roads uphill for some great shops, restaurants and bars.did not use the spa but have rated it as excellent as i am sure it would be

Room Tip: if you get a low floor pool view room be aware that the entertainment can be quite noisy and may kee...

Myself and my boyfriend came back from the Hotel Sol Don Pablo this afternoon (6th July 2012) and I wanted to write a review straight away! This hotel is fab! We arrived on 29th June at the Pablo am. Unfortunately check-in wasn't open untill 2pm but it gave us time to get familiar with our surroundings. once we got into our room we were blown away with the brillient view from our balcony and how nice the room was. We were on the 7th floor with a view of the beach and pool, with a large double bed, ensuite and lots of wardrobe and draw space. After unpacking we went to find the pool which we were also very impressed with. The pool area is massive with a nice pool bar which serves drinks and food. Even though there are signs to say not to, people do put towels down and reserve sunbeds early in the morning. We spent nearly all of our time around the pool where it was so lovely and relaxing. We were half board so breakfast and dinner was a buffet style. I was a little worried at first about the food they would have but as soon as I started to plate up my concerns were washed away. The food was brillient with many different meats, fish, veg, potatoes, Italian, rice, salad, cheeses etc for dinner and fab fry-ups for breakfast or lots of varieties of cereals, fruit, bread etc. The entertainment at the hotel was a very good surprise. Acts included the circus, decade pop, broadway, flamenco, bird/ reptile shows and plenty for kids too. We had great nights watching all the different shows. The location of the hotel is fantastic with loads of nicky-knack shops (as I like to call them) filling the streets plus lots of restaurants/cafes and the beach literally over the road. The temperature didn't drop below 30 degrees all week which made the holiday even more perfect. I would definitely reccommend this hotel as it ticked every single box and had such and enjoyable time throughout. (for men....you can't wear shorts and a vest to dinner as the hotel states once in your room!!!) the hotel is a 15 min journey from the airport at most!

Room Tip: Room 708 on floor 7 is where we stayed and had brillient views, rooms 708 downwards (707, 706 etc) s...

Stayed here for 5 nights in june, was a late booking and turned out to be a fantastic bargain.
Had a double room on 4 th floor, large walk-in shower. Hotel is kept very clean, staff friendly, food very good (always something you will like, even for the fussiest of eaters- like me !)
Plenty of sunbeds (albeit june is not high season) available. Watched employees hose-down/clean sunbathing/pool areas every morning.
Central location.
bar prices slightly higher than local pubs but any hotel falls into that category (they stock cruzcampo which is better than san miguel)
Only minor complaint is that air conditioning unit was quite noisy, but thats commonplace in hotels all over the world.
Book this hotel and you won't be disappointed

Room Tip: Room 402 will have large L shaped balcony with sea view. If you book direct with sol/melia you can...

we stayed at sol don pablo for 3 nights at the beginning of july . this was an advanced booking and a very reasonable price .We had free transfers provided by melia hotels. This consisted of a private taxi for us four girls what a lovely surprise. Our rooms were very clean and spacious with a good size balcony and side sea view. All staff were very polite and helpfull as we asked for rooms together with a sunny view. we stayed on the 5th floor. All linen and towells were sparkling white. Breakfast was excellent with enough variety to suit every taste. The pools and grounds were spotless and very relaxing. Just a short stroll away from Bajondillo beach. Thankyou once again to Sol Don Pablo Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable .This has got to be one of the best value for money hotels in Torremolinos.

I have visited this hotel two times I believe, both times I had wonderful and relaxing stays with zero problems, the hotel is very clean, nice food/breakfast, polite and helpful staff and the maids do their job well.
The hotel placement is in a great spot with lots of activities to do around the location and a beach just over the road. Both times I stayed here with my aunt she is usually a picky person coming to hotels and she also had great stays with no problems what so ever. The rooms are spacious and eye-catching, the beds are clean and comfortable the bathroom was also very clean overall I don't think I could fault anything.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there if I was to visit Torremolinos again.

Room Tip: As I remember having a room around the 6th floor overlooking the beach, I believe I stayed in a twin...

This is a lovely, comfy, traditional hotel. We had a great week and really enjoyed the trip. It is an old hotel decorated in typical Spanish style, with beautiful tapestries on the walls. We asked for side sea view on a high floor and that was just what we got.

The cleaners are thorough and very friendly, as are all the staff. The restaurant is quite large, but with pillars and typical wooden Spanish chandelier type lighting, so it doesn't seem huge. We sat in the 'conservatory' extension as it was the next best thing to dining al fresco. Very light and with rattan chairs. There was a varied selection of meats and fish every night and an Italian station with different pasta dishes. There was a variety of cold meats, salads and desserts. Ice cream and yogurt always available and a decent selection for breakfast. The fresh breads and rolls were superb, with plenty of choice.

The gardens were pretty and one way to walk to the promenade exited through a white arched porch type building. Next door was another of these entrances going through to the Sol Don Pedro - it was like entering a small pueblo/village!

It was worth paying 1 euro to use the lift to go up into the town of Torremolinos. We caught the train to Fuengirola and Malaga. The trains are clean and run on time. The temp was 30+ most days so we didn't do much, we just wanted a quick sunshine break. On the front between the hotel and the Melia is a road with half a dozen bars/cafes. We found the prices very reasonable for drinks and snacks. We were entertained for a short time by an absolutely brilliant guitarist. He was so talented and we bought 2 of his cd's. Classical and Flamenco - we can relive the holiday and imagine the sunshine, while we watch the rain here! We didn't see many of the shows at the hotel, but what we did see was excellent. There was a variety of entertainment and most nights we would've gone to more shows, but by 10pm we were tired, tiddly or too hot! How sad are we?

We found the resort busy, but there were no lager louts or drunken Brits, who make you ashamed to be British. We did walk through the Melia and think we made the right choice. The rooms are probably lovely, but it seemed a little soul-less, although very smart and modern. Wonder if they have decent beds, because the beds in the Don Pablo are a bit hard. I can sleep on anything, but OH moaned the mattress was too thin and the pillows uncomfortable. He moans at home, too! The walls are a bit thin, but considering the size of the hotel we found the whole place quiet, apart from the excited target practice shooters, which was funny to watch.

Room Tip: We had side view on floor 8 and that was good - expect full sea view would be better.
