San Miguel Street is a great place to shop for bargains, souvenirs abound! Many great cafes and restaurants also.

If you fancy some retail therapy this is the best area to look amongst lots of shops, boutiques & fab bars and eateries.

Bargains can be had and a chill in the sun with a glass of wine is always a nice end to the day.

OK a bit tacky in places and need to look for the best coffee shops etc. (I like Granvinos near the church or the San Miguel Heladeria or the new Granadier bakery half way up the street).

However you cannot deny that Torremolinos once entertained all of the pioneers in mediterranean holidays and many of the same traders are still in operation from the dizzy 1960's era. I find most of the patrons are excellent company and have been invited to many of the 50th birthday celebrations in their establishments!

Over the years, small shops with the super business to do (leathers, clothing in General) it kinda disappeared, but it is always possible to make a nice deal.
It's hot go have a drink in the ice maker, it is also of very good and large pressed fresh orange juice. There are of course bars and restaurants, but for the restaurant I will go elsewhere, consulted the list of restaurant of the region on TRIPADVISOR.

we have visited this area many times and are always impressed at the vibrancy and colour of local life. there are many good restaurants, snack bars & bars to while away ones time or just to sit and watch the world go by.In the evening time there are often street entertainers of various kinds and the whole place is lit by coloured lights. We will be visiting again in 2014.
