We wanted an Italian meal, as a variation to eating in our hotel. This restaurant was recommended. Our starter was tomato and garlic pizza to share. We found out too late, that there is not a pizza oven. The pizza was of the frozen base variety, chopped cold tomatoes and bits of garlic on top. Not tasty at all. Main courses were ok and no more. Service and staff were fine, but overall, disappointing evening.

Beautiful setting, one of the better Pizzas in town. Shame a few extras were shoved on the bill that we had to question.

La Piazzetta Ristorante is set in a quaint Spanish plaza with a number of other bar/restaurants in close proximity, (the Boomerang bar next door being of note for drinks!). For dinner it does not come to life until around 21.00, to get the full benefit of the atmosphere and surroundings. People eat much later in Spain in my view. We arrived at around 19.30 and were the first to sit down to a table. Service was good, the waiter was friendly and the food was pretty authentic for an Italian in Spain. If you choose red wine, make sure you let them know your preference for temperature. Mine came from out of the fridge! My mistake I guess for not saying, but the staff quickly rectified to a “UK room temperature” offering with good body and flavour. Coffee is also superb. The acid test for me is would I go again? I most certainly would.

We ate here in august 2012. Its was a charming experience, the restaurant is in a fountained plaza and the ambiance at night is just magical.
The food was great, we had tasty salad and some delicious pasta.
Awesome service too, the staff were perfectly friendly and helpful with the menu.
We hope to return this winter to dine here again.

The real authentic Italian restaurant in Torremolinos. If you are tired of annoying endless ensalada con lechuga with mais, if your are not fond of hamburgers with fried potatoes, if you estimate not only calories but the atmosphere of comfort and hospitality - this is the right place to go for dinner.
The Italian cuisine of this restaurant is typical for Italy in general but thanks to gifted chef it painted in new fresh colors, the variant of pizza Margerita named by Ornella , owners' daughter,  added with fresh tomatoes is what you want to order again and again.
Delicious pasta al dente in various combinations, the taste of basilico, mascarpone, guanciale and other Italian elements really moves you to Apennines. Don't forget to taste homemade pannacotta and semifredo.
It's hard to find another place in Torremolinos that getting you away from the bustle and hustle of the city center, noisy streets crowded with people. The open-air part of the restaurant is a little courtyard makes you feel yourself somewhere in between of Venetian campo. The owners, sicilians Paola and Giuseppe are very opened people give everything you need to spend a good time.
