Visited this hotel in la carihuela 23/27 may.Arrived 1pm.checked in , unpacked, straight to the beach.Very pleasent reception guy so helpful.
Nice room street view nice for people watching. The sun on the balcony late afternoon to sunset.Got the train from terminal 3 to torremolinos for €3.50 for two people took 12 mins.Taxi €5 euros to hotel.£8 from airport to hotel.Do not book bed and breakfast , which is at the restaurant underneath the hotel.Staff ignore you as if your free loading.not sure if this is a problem with the hotel the restaurant or a problem the miserable waitress has with brits.Locals would walk in and be served whilst hotel residents would watch, breakfast was pointless anyway.great value cafes and bars everyway.Carihuela is a lovely flat and extremely pretty resort.nice backstreets for shopping eating and drinking.great beachfront with plenty of sunbeds €5 each with thick mattresses the dutch section of the beach is run by klikk spann a lively bar which provides a beach waiter service, no extra charge just settle your tab at the bar.recommend El. Horno beach life.Great bar restaurant on the beach with
Superb lunchtime food and drinks.sardines Burgers and cracking salads, brilliant staff.4 nights 5 days , eating drinking and sunbathing.Apart the breakfast situation perfect.

The hotel is off a busy pedestrian walkway just off the beach, next to shops and restaurants ,a perfect location if you want a beach holiday where you don't need a car ,as this has all the elements for this type of holiday where most things are in walking distance. My wife and I only stayed one night after a wonderful day in the great beach restaurants located all the way along this stretch of beach front. The receptionist was very polite and helpful and gave us the cheapest room which was amazing value!
The room faced a nice spanish style courtyard for a small charge you can face the street or sea but we were only staying one night.the room was very spacious and very clean.the bathroom was a good size and had large bath ,ideal to relax in with a glass of wine kept cold in the fridge!
I would highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Reading other reviews some people stated the rooms were adequate sizes but our inner room was very s...

Me and my husband stayed here for 5 nights in May, after the place we usually stay was fully booked, we had a sea view, and although the room was very small it was kept lovely and clean. The little fridge in the room was a fab addition kept our wine chilled ready for a lovely sunst drink on the balcony. Reception staff, infact all staff we encountered were polite and helpful, we go to Carihuela many times a year, and now would not hesitate to stay here on our next visit. You can get the train from the airport to montemar station for a few euros each and walk straight down to the hotel.

Room Tip: we had a sea view and loved it

The Mediterraneo Carihuela is what you would want from a typical Spanish hotel. If you pay a bit extra, you can get a seafront room which has a nice sized balcony, ideal for watching the sunset/sunrise and watching the world go by on the promenade below. The view spans down the coastline to Benalmadena on the right and straight through to Malaga on the left. You can even see the big cruise liners passing by on their way from Malaga harbour. The room is typically Spanish. Fairly basic, but with everything you could need, with good storage space. Although my room overlooked the promenade and beach, it was surprisingly quiet. I was even able to leave the patio doors open at night so that I could wake up to the sound of the ocean in the morning. It's right in the heart of Carihuela, so it's away from modern Torremolinos, and the negatives that can sometimes accompany that. The 24 hour reception staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay here again

Room Tip: Pay the small extra to get a room with a balcony overlooking the sea

Great hotel pretty much on the beach. A little hard to find at first. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious and the shower was really hot and powerful. WiFi was advertised as being in reception only but I didn't have a problem using in on the 2nd floor. I had a hire car, parking in the small streets around torremelinos is nearly impossible, but the hotel has an agreement with the town council which cuts 1/3 to 1/2 off the normal price of the public underground parking on the main road through the town, if you're driving, park here straight away then walk the short distance with your cases, its the closest you'll get and saves you driving up and down trying to spot it, (which you wont as its in a pedestrianised street) Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
