“Great little hotel, thoroughly enjoyable stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2012

I booked this hotel because I like smaller hotels. The owners and staff make this place - they enjoy meeting new people and have a knack of putting you at ease. Plus, as a solo traveller it's always nice to be introduced to other guests when having a drink at the bar! Great location too, right by the beach, and a quiet nights sleep. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Intimate guest house, virtually on the beach. Many rooms have great sea views. In April, I was given a one-BR apartment with refrigerator and microwave, with balcony facing the sea, for 45 euros/night. Basic continental breakfast is offered, but they have a full-service restaurant that is open every evening between 6:00 and 10:00. It is beautifully decorated to a high Andalusian standard. Food preparation is high-quality. Best of all are the proprietors Robert and Antonio (British and Spanish) and their very experienced aide-de-camp Pedro (Cuban). All have traveled extensively. All are very welcoming and very well-informed about places to go, things to do, what to avoid. You couldn't ask for better innkeepers. I loved this place. For Americans accustomed to vacations in Puerto Vallarta, you might want to put this on your list.

Very well located, just across the road from the beach in the older part of Torremolinos.
Room was large and very clean, furniture modern and bright, fridge and air con; well maintained bathroom with good powerful shower.
Hotel staff were superb; very welcoming, gave a very good introduction to the area. They really engaged with the guests and made the whole experience homely.
Breakfast simple, but served with style; evening meal tasty and good value.
Only possible problem would be the lack of outdoor space - but there is a good terrace with a lovely view over the sea and the beach is so close, the lack of outdoor space isn't a problem.

Room Tip: Some rooms have balconies overlooking the sea, others have windows overlooking the street. I had roo...

Before my journey I was concerned about finding my way there as I was arriving late and the hotel was kind enough to reply to my email asking for directions.
The hotel is right next to the seafront down a small street next to shops and restaurants, the room was spacious with air con and a fridge. There was a terrace opposite my room with a great view of the beach and i had a small balcony too. Included in the price was wifi and a simple breakfast with great coffee. The restaurant was good value for money and was always busy, I ate there one night and the owners were very friendly and interacted well with the customers. Pedro was very helpful with giving me information on the best places to visit and which beach to to. I felt very safe in the hotel as a solo female and I couldn't believe how such a great place was so cheap! Highly recommended.

Low-season: good price, not too many tourists, and quiet street. I don't know about high-season.
Staff really friendly and helpful, they want you to have a great stay.
The water from my shower was running along the wall so I had to find a solution to avoid a flood. I said it to one of the guys and they took note of it to fix it.
Comfy beds. Great location right next the beach. From the bus or train station it looks like an adventure but hey... if you want the beach, you do an effort ;)
Recommended.

GREAT location! Short walk to beach. Lift up to town is less than 5 minutes away. Simple breakfast of juice toast and coffee/tea. Very fortunate the penthouse suite was available -- worth climbing the extra stairs -- very private large terrace with sunrise view of the Mediterranean. Simple, clean, and safe accommodations at a fantastic location. Concierge was most helpful with suggestions for all of our questions.

We sampled dinners at Hostal Guadalupe restaurant at least ten times while staying in Torremolinos for a month during October, 2011. On each occasion the service was impeccable, the dinners were innovative, very good tasting, and exceptionally well prepared. The soups have been spectacular, but all other dishes that we tried have been excellent as well. For a small restaurant, Guadalupe offers a varied menu, excellent choices and prices that were competitive with other good quality restaurants in the area. Guadalupe was definitely our favorite while in Torremolinos.
