“Fabulous city hotel”
Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

The location is perfect for the old town. Five minutes from Orange Square and the shopping quarter and restaurants. Fifteen minutes walk from the beach. Very clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. I would recommend it for a city break.

My husband, daughter and me stayed for 2 nights (11 & 12 Feb). The hotel is in an ideal location just a stone's throw away from all the bars and restaurants. We could not fault the overall cleanliness and the free WiFi was a hit with our daughter!

The only negative aspect was that we were slightly misled by the hotel website which advertised triple rooms. However what we actually got was a room only suitable for 2 beds. They put a further bed in but it meant we couldn't open the wardrobe or the chest of draws. In our opinion the website should clearly state that it is a double/twin with an extra bed as a 'triple room' infers that you are getting a slightly larger room.

That said, we would definately return again for a short break as the benefits far outweighed the negatives.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 303 which was located at the front of the hotel. Nice aspect and surprisingly quie...

My husband, daughter and I stay in this hotel for two nights this week. It has a fantastic location in Marbella old town. Its a two minute walk from all the small boutique shops and and restaurants. The hotel itself is rated two star probably because its a little on the small side. They put an extra bed in our room for our daughter. With 3 beds in the room it was a little tight but we didnt mind too much. There was air conditioning and wifi which is a big plus for us. Its a lovely place for a couple to stay if they wanted to visit the old town. We had a car and were lucky to get parking locally but we know the area well so that helped. There is an old car park at the back of the hotel which is not run by the hotel. There is a restaurant up the road called El Garro which is definately worth a visit. The hotel is family run and they were very hospitable. All in all a very satisfactory visit and I would definately go back.

Room Tip: Our room was to the front but there was very little noise. There are shutters on the windows. This a...

The location is absolutely fantastic, 2 minutes walk takes you into the Old Town which we loved, 4 minutes walk takes you to the seafront... Our room faced the old Castle wall, which was nice. Parking was no issue, it was the weekend so didn't have to pay, but be warned if through the week the traffic wardens are keen! Room was good for what we paid, shower is powerful, watch your eyelids nearly blow mine off. Room could of been cleaned a bit better my Mrs has an eye for that, but in all for the cost its well worth it...

We'd stayed here before, so we knew it was a good option - we also knew where it was which is more than I can say for the taxi driver we got from the bus station! This is a small family run hotel - and it's relatively cheap; so don't expect luxuries. The rooms are a good size, but storage is a little limited. Also, there's no room safe - and they really should consider installing these. There is a small café/restaurantant just outside where you can have breakfast. I think it is included in some room rates, but we were 'pay as you go' - and you get orange juice, croissant & jam, or toast & jam, plus tea/coffee for €3 - you can't really argue with that. Best part of all is that this hotel is 5 minutes walk from Orange Square - and looks out at the walls of the old Moorish castle. I'd be more than happy to stay here again - and often!

Room Tip: If you can get a room looking out over the castle walls, do so - but the rooms that look out over th...

First of all the lady at the front desk acted scared and like we couldn't pay two euros more for four people. Secondly the rooms where to small. Thirdly breakfast came with it but all you get is croissant and coffee for adults and cola cao (hot chocolate) and bread for the kids. It was not a very good stay.

My fiance chose this hotel and to be honest, I wasn't really expecting much. We stayed here for 2 nights in mid-June and wow... it was perfect! One of the cheapest options in Marbella and we were thrilled with it. The location was superb - couldn't be better. It was literally a 30 second walk to get into the centre of the old town. The rooms were clean, the bathroom perfectly adequate, the beds comfortable, and we had an absolutely amazing view of the old castle walls - superb. Unfortunately, the cafe downstairs was closed while we were there so we can't comment on that. Our only gripe would be parking - there were a few parking spots close to the hotel but the cars never seemed to move! We ended up parking in a carpark at the bottom of the town (this hotel is on top of a hill) and paid dearly for it... I think €36 for 2 days? Ouch. Also, this hotel is seriously tricky to find! We were using maps, not a GPS, but Marbella was just tricky to navigate. My advice - use a GPS! :)
