Estepona Golf is an interesting course with no shortage of challenges, but it's not impossibly demanding and, therefore, offers something to high and low handicappers alike. The location is a little hidden away, but this setting delivers some beautiful views of the mountains, hills and sea. We found it to be in reasonably good condition, especially the greens, which have plenty of subtle borrows and a lot of pace. Many of the holes involve steep slopes and on some its almost impossible to find a flat lie, but that's what this course is all about. There's not a great deal of water, but a lake was in the process of being added when we were there The pro-shop staff were very helpful and the green fees very competitive indeed. You can walk the course, but it's probably much more sensible to use a buggy. A good restaurant, bar and sun terrace add to overall experience. Overall, I would recommend Estepona as the ideal course to start your Costa del Sol golf trip.
