We had a fantastic time here during our 7 night stay. I can't quite understand all the less than positive feedback. The room was excellent, we booked a triple and were given a suite. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The breakfast was very good and extensive. It is not in the middle of nowhere either; San Pedro is a 15 minute walk and had every bar and restaurant you could imagine. Marbella is 20mins max by car; Peurto Banus just 10 mins away. It doesn't get better than this for the price!!!!!

We just spent a week at this hotel and to be honest we couldn't wait to get home! We paid for Half Board but the food was awful and we ended up having just two breakfasts in the hotel and eating out the rest of the time ... as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, this meant we had to pay for taxis (€10-15 each way). The town of San Pedro is a 15 min uphill walk away but is very unfriendly and we had the misfortune to be pick-pocketed there! I would not recommend it at all.

i only stayed here the one night, i found the staff a little unfriendly, the one meal i had wasnt very nice and the fact that the hotel was miles out of anywhere meant a car was needed. On a plus though if your after a quiet break, the hotel is lovely and worthy of its rating. The room was clean and the pool are had lots of beds and was a nice place to relax. I wouldnt rush back there personally as it was too far away from puerto banus for me. Some of the reviews are a little harsh on here, this hotel needs to researched first thats all, if you want a week with the girls partying this is not the hotel for you and as previously mentioned i do strongly suggest you need a car to get out as the hotel is not in walking distance of anything other than the golf course.

We spent two nights at this hotel; we got a good deal for B&B. The hotel was very nice, lovely pool with lots of space and sun beds, a nice chilled out atmosphere.

Our room was very nice with a pool view. On our second day we decided to ask for a room with a balcony which was no problem, we were given a lovely room with beautiful views overlooking the golf course and mountains.

The breakfast was very good, lots to choose from and I found all the staff throughout the hotel to be very nice and helpful.

The only downside was under staffed bar and dusty floors in the bedroom but I was very happy overall so don’t be put off by some very critical comments people have made about the hotel and staff, it was lovely!

They gave us a room for disabled people, wich was not propper. But they didn't even prepare the room to receive guests, since the dresser that should contain the minibar was empty and the drain of the shower was clotted. One electricity plug didn't work, the bathroom door didn't close, and there was no wi-fi signal. We spent the afternoon in the room, not being able to go anywhere since they continuosly promised they would send someone. They eventually brought an old and dirty minibar and did nothing about the rest. We complained, obviously. They said they were full but that they would give us a suite the following day. They did. It was fine but had no wireless signal either. We couldn't even get wi-fi at the reception. The only place it worked was in the corridor, so we checked several times our e-mail standing there, with our laptop in one hand and working with the other. They saw us every once in a while, but said nothing. So, they ruined our 1st day and the rest was peacefull. We parked in a nearby street, very near. It's very far from everything, you should have/get a car. Breakfast was reasonably good. The swimming pool was not very big and there were not enough "sombrillas" for everyone to be in the shade.

Room Tip: Swimming pool view and the higher, the better.

I booked this hotel for a stay with my fourteen year old daughter for a week in August 2011. Years ago, In think this hotel would probably deserve the four stars it has, but not on this occasion. The hotel was very quiet and the pool bar remained closed through our stay. There were no poolside staff so we spent our time backwards and forwards to the hotel bar for water and drinks etc. They refused to clean our room twice. Our only crime was perhaps leaving a few items of clothing around. But even if they didnt want to pick these up, they could have made the beds and removed the room service inedible trays of refried chips and equally nasty chicken baguettes, which after they ignored for the second time, I placed in the corridor where they remained for at least another two days as they were still there when we left. The toilet wouldn't flush properly and the sink was blocked. When I removed the plug myself I was disgusted to find thick clogs of hair which made me feel ill as neither my daughter or myself washed our hair in the sink. The food in the restaurant was unpleasant and we spent most of the time eating out. The hotel advertises itself as barcelo banus but it is not anywhere near the port , it is a 15 euro taxi drive away , and it is nowhere near the beach, I was told the bearest beach was 30 minutes walk away. I wouldn't stay here again. There is no entertainment and the staff are unfriendly.

we booked this hotel last minute, so we were very sceptical after reading reviews on the hotel. we were pleasantly surprised! The reception & check in were excellent. our room was gorgeous & very spacious. bathroom; lovely, big & clean. The only downside would be a few things; the food was very poor. The breakfast was managable as there was plenty of choice, i choose fresh food every day & my husband went for a lot of cooked; which was NOT good at all. The buffet was cleared away a little too qucikly for my liking. we did have lunch one day at the hotel & it was horrible. The location is lovely & quiet, set in golfcourse & residential area, but if you didnt like a good 20 minute walk to San Pedro or Guadalmina you were in trouble. we rented bikes & got round great. The pool area is lovely; it does have waiter service, but could do with another waiter on. The gym was a BIG let down. I do like to workout when away, but the facilites were very poor & a lot of the cardio machines were broken except for 1. The grounds/furnishings/gardens etc were all lovely. The position for anyone into golf is excellent. The staff were very friendly & spoke excellent, fluent english. I would definately stay there again, as i know what to expect. for us it was perfect; quiet, near enought to loevely restaurants, but away from the nightlife. if the management put a bit of thought into the food etc it has the potential to be excellent
