“Excellent Italian food!”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

Serafina had recently opened another restaurant and it's right in the hotel where I stayed, Hotel Puente Romano. The service, food, and ambiance are all beyond superior--just loved it and recommend it highly!

This restaurant has everything. We were there in January when many of the restaurants in this part of Marbella are fairly empty with little atmosphere. The Serafina has it in spades! Lovely setting overlooking the gardens and the beautifully lit Roman bridge, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere with most tables booked on the midweek nights we went. Nearly all the tables for 4+ are round which is a real bonus for families and larger groups. Our food was delicious-lovely Iberian ham, great pasta and a yummy main course of calves liver. Puddings looked good but we were too full to eat any. Good coffee too. Throughout the meal we had excellent, speedy service. Nothing too much trouble. Just one little thing. Take your iphone to see the menu. They provide a tiny light but it wasn't quite enough for older eyes.
Perfect lighting for an evening meal though, so it's worth the earlier squinting.

“Superb Italian dining experience”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

Serafina is high quality Italian dining. We were a group of 8 and from the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were looked after in a professional manner by the owners and their very well trained staff. The menu is extensive and the food was delicious. I had pasta with butter fish which was brilliant. Ambience was relaxing and

“Best pasta I've had outside of Italy!”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

We stayed at Puente Romano for a week during Christmas/New Year and had dinner here on our first night arriving late in the evening from the airport. The pizza was excellent, but the standout was definitely the pasta. I had little pasta oatcakes filled with pear and walnuts with an amazing Gorgonzola sauce. Outstanding as far as flavour, quality and quantity is concerned. This is definitely the best pasta I've ever had in a very long time and probably the best pasta I've had outside of Italy. The profiteroles for dessert were also fantastic, filled with almond cream, rather than the usual chantilly cream. The wine list is good and very reasonable. The whole meal was fantastic and very good value. I would 100% recommend this restaurant even if you're not staying at the Puente Romano. You will not regret it!

“Should have eaten here earlier”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

We stayed at the Puente Romano for a week in November and for the first few evenings went to restaurants at the marina in Puerto Banus before trying the Serafina. That really was a mistake and we now know we should have tried the Serafina earlier in our holiday but after our first visit we returned the following evening before ending our holiday.
Service from the waiting staff was excellent and the food superb, a little dark for reading the menu but this is overcome by book reading lights the staff will provide.
Puerto Banus in general is expensive but the Serafina provides tremendous value compared to restaurants on the marina with an excellent house wine reasonably priced.
If you are staying at the Puente Romano save yourself a journey and eat at the Serafina.
