After a weekend break in this hotel I will not be back. Two rooms were broken into and given the items that were stolen it appears these rooms were targeted. The reception staff did not appear surprised that there had been a break in, an indication that this is a common occurrence here? We felt very unsafe in this hotel. No sympathy, empathy or indeed help offered. In fact they were more interested in dealing with other people who came to reception, very poor customer service.

just had a seven day stay in the bungalows on this complex . our bungalow was in a corner location so was very quiet ,not that it was noisy anyway, first thing we did was up grade from half board to all inclusive at a a cost of £350 equivalant to £25 per day per adult well worth it as weather was hot so the amount of drinks consumed more than covered the cost of the upgrade . food was ok but you had to queue if you wanted pork or beef steaks as these were cooked as wanted otherwise no problems staff were friendly rooms cleaned daily would go back

Room Tip: opt for a bungalow rather than hotel

A group of 13 of us went for a weekend to Marbella for a friends sisters hen doo. We all stayed in the single apartments/bungalows that shared between 2-3. Had a fantastic few days there enjoying the sun and what Peurto Banus had to offer, then on our last day we came back to our apartments to find that our i phones, cameras,i pads, jewellrey, money, perfume, straightners had all been stolen! The hotel manager was useless, saying we had to go to the police as they wouldn't come out to us,as we had lost our money they still expected us to pay for the taxi to get there! Police didn't speak a word of English and had to wait a few hours to get an incident report. Then as we came back to the hotel, the manager didn't even ask how we got on or offered us any type of compensation. Staff and maids were so ignorant towards all of us. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a safe secure enviroment, anyone could come and go as they please. Had a fantastic few days over there until the last day,(which seemed all a bit too convenient) Food was horrible and cold as well! Overall i would say this was no where near a four star apartment/hotel.

Room Tip: Don't choose the single bungalows

Just bk from this hotel after a 3 night break for my neices hen wkend! We had 2 rooms broke into and had an ipad which was charging stole ,money ,watches ,jewellrey etc !went to reception to get the police and 4 of our party had to go into marbella to the police station ! Staff at hotel were so ignorant and not helpfull at all ! This hotel is not secure at all ! The andulucian village rooms have no locks on the terrace doors and are so flimsy that one push of that door and anyone can get into your room ! So i would think twice if you are thinking about going here for a relaxing break cause it ruined what was a brilliant weekend ! Also the food is disgusting !

Room Tip: Stay away from the bungalows!

Dear Guest,
I would like to thank you for your comments, as it is through them the best way we can improve the quality of our service, understanding the perception of our product and most important the quality and friendly service we provide.

Regarding the food, I'm sorry but I disagree with you, only had bed and breakfast, the rest of their meals were opencorn grocery shopping, the treatment of the reception staff excellent, think that they can not pay what you say you stole, I'm sorry but I do not think so.

We regret not covering your expectations and we will be delighted if you offer us the opportunity to return to have you back in any of our establishments.

Have just came back from a relaxing chilled out week here at the Marbella Playa Hotel. We spent our 7 nights in a junior suite in the main building which was excellent.a lovely room overlooking the pool and gorgeous views of the seafront. Our room was spotless and cleaned everyday and bed turned down at night.Food was good, always something to eat and pretty varied as we were all inclusive. We did frequent the local Chinese restaurant twice for dinner which is up on the main road and is excellent.the all inclusive option for drinks was also very good, Marbella Centre is only a few miles away and was 1 euro 18 for the bus and approx 12 euro by taxi.We were only in the hotel for the entertainment for 1 night( an 80s disco night) which never happened, so a bit disappointing !!! We would defo recommend this hotel and would come back to Marbella but unsure how it would be when it was busy in the height of the season,( maybe some more bar staff on shift and possibly a wee extra of free wi-fi and free mini bar in junior suites making it worth the extra money .

Room Tip: We had a junior suite on the 4th floor with a nice sized balcony with a sunbed but did ask for the...

Sorry to see some of the past poor reviews - just spent a wonderful week here with my family. The bungalows are decent accommodation ( would have added a DVD player and kettle in an ideal world). The grounds are absolutely stunning and on passing the beautiful pool lead to a gorgeous endless beach. I found the location perfect to reach everywhere I wanted to see but I did have a rental car and maybe without it would not have managed. I see that the buffet has had past criticism but I found it was fair for this price range. Staff were nice especially Raul, the entertainer, and we generally had a great stay and would go back. It is important to observe that this complex is less than half the price of many comparable hotels in Marbella and quite frankly I'd rather stay just out of town - it's more relaxing ! Spend some of the money that you save on a car from Centauro ( Malaga airport ) and get out and about this beautiful place.

Hotel and rooms are nice and comfortable. Food is pretty various. Staff is kind and funny, they organize a lot of activities to entertain you during all day long. Otherwise it also a good position if you want to discover Andalucia and you don't want to stay in the resort. Marbella, Malaga and Granada are pretty simple to reach from this resort, expecially with their affiliated tour operators
