First the good - incredible location, best in Marbella with the beach, bars, restaurants and the old town on the doorstep. Very friendly and helpful staff and quite acceptable breakfast. Rooms were spacious and kept clean with good air conditioning and adequate balconies.

On the down side it could be noisy at night if you keep UK hours and go to bed before midnight and we booked through an agent requesting a double bed but got singles. Their pricing was strange, we booked initially for ten nights and this cost an incredibly low £34 a night for two with breakfast - cheaper than the hostals - but then I booked a room for three nights for friends and that cost £48 a night and then for one night for some other friends and that was over £70.

If you go, and I would recommend it unreservedly, book through an agent and go for at least a week! I shall be back there next year.

OK, what do you expect if the room costs 40
euros a night?

Sure, the bathroom is a bit rusty, and the windows and doors let most of the noise thru.
Even for a big person like me the matrace was a bit too hard in the room. But the location of Hotel Lima is so good that I was ready to forgive some details what otherwise would be crucial to me.
The beach Playa de la Venus is close, there’s a farmacy around the corner, and good possibilities to enjoy.

The Hotel Lima is quite a good choise if you are just looking for a place to stay one/two nights while you’re visiting Marbella. There is nothing wrong with the Hotel. It is a 2 stars moderate hotel.

What is wrong in Lima is the customers. Yes, people like us. We who must drink too much alcohol and raise hell 3 a.m. when a decent person wants to sleep.
And why does it bother? You can hear most of the sounds thru the doors and walls.
And why there is so much noise-making, trouble-seeking, beer-drinking customers in Hotel Lima?
Simply because it’s so darn good choise for someone who simply wants to party around in Marbella and after that have a cheap but still decent roof on the top of the head.

Thank you very much for your comments.
Since your visit and after showing us the failures might not watched, have
made changes, the bathrooms have no rust, we changed the
gateway to the hotel, there is a fridge in the room and much more.
If one day for our city, make us a visit and I will show you in

We went to this hotel with an open mind after reading the reviews on here, and here is what we have to say about it. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, if you speak a bit of spanish its even more helpful. I would suggest just greeting them with a Hola !! They appreciate it. The rooms were basic, but very clean. The hotel is on a busy street and noise can be a factor if you are bothered by it, but it is in the city centre. Parking in virtually not available, so if you hire a car good luck! It is close to all the Marbella night life, great quiet beach and fantastic food. We stayed for 10 days at this hotel and it was a pleasure, the breakfast buffet is small, and consists of cold meats and cheese , cereal , toast, ect . We would stay again, the staff was lovely, and the roof terrace was a nice secluded getaway. Internet is very expensive, but there is a coffee shop across the road, all you need to do is buy a coffee and bring your laptop, however there are other internet places in the area within walking distance for about £0.60p an hr.
In Closing this hotel is a fine hotel if you need a clean bed to sleep in and some simple food for breakfast, after all you don't go to a hotel to stay in your room all day! Get out and meet the friendly locals and have a great time.

We are glad to make a very clear description of our Hotel,

I hope to visit us to see for yourself the changes again.

Nice hotel, very basic but nice, bed are very small, shared room with my brother who is 6ft 6", beds were a way too small for him.

The location of the hotel couldn't have been better, Bars, Restaurants, Beach, etc just outside the hotel door.

Disliked: Small Beds

We travelled over to Marbella (from Portugal) to see a concert and stayed just the one night. This hotel was ideally situated for our needs, central to the old town, and near to the beach/promande for a summer's stroll.
We wanted a central and reasonably priced hotel and selected this as it seemed to fit our needs (somewhere to shower pre-concert and sleep afterwards). It cost about 80Euros for a decent double room with a bathroom and balcony over-looking the cafes adjacent to the hotel. We found it comfortable and it surpassed our prior expectations. The staff were helpful and informative. There were plenty of eating establishments nearby (we had pre-concert tapas, and a simple breakfast both literally across the street from the hotel), and found no problem in finding on-street parking close to the hotel (end of July).
Had we not needed to get back to Portugal for the next leg of the concert tour we would have been very happy to stay longer. Would we choose this as a location for a weeks holiday? maybe not; but it would be just perfect for a short break. If you love Marbella you could do a lot worse than the Lima.
Incidentally we found the drinks prices in Puerto Banus excessive (4 Euros for a v. small beer in an ordinary marina bar), be warned.

Thank you very much for your comments.
We are happy that the hotel met your expectations and if
Returns for a short stay, we return to choose.
Thank you for highlighting the work of our staff.
Since you visited us have changed, now the street
main is pedestrian and this has given him more life.
I agree, Puerto Banus is expensive for tapas and even
take a beer.

We hope to see you again.
