I don't understand the few negative reviews I have read for this hotel. It is simply one of the best. My wife and I both needed a break where we could relax and catch our breath. We'd been here before many years ago and had the fondest of memories. It was a toss-up whether we went for this hotel or the equally lovely sister hotel - The Marbella Club - next door where we have also stayed. I have a feeling I would be writing an equally glowing review if we had chosen The Marbella Club. The grounds are just breathtaking and our room (Junior Suite) was excellent. For once we had a balcony where we could actually sit!! There are several restaurants within the grounds and whilst the food is not fantastic, it is certainly acceptable. Breakfast was by far the best with an incredible selection. But the most important factor was the Staff. Very friendly and helpful and really charming. My wife has trouble walking and they couldn't do enough to help her - very touching. Customer Relations Manager is an absolute darling. I love walking and there is a terrific promenade just outside the rear of the hotel that runs all the way to Puerto Banus. We've come back with a lovely warm feeling from staying at the Puente Romano

Room Tip: If you want to be near the beach and main pool, Womba and Ximena blocks are extremely well placed.

This hotel takes 5 stars to a whole new level. It is a large hotel that is spread out on a very large well care fored property. Everywhere you turn it is luxury. The products the hotel supplies you with are expectional. Each Room feels like its own private Villa. The staff are incredible always willing to go the extra mile. If you find yourself in Marbella I won't stay anywhere else as this is an Oasis.

We booked in here on short notice having left other, utterly unsatisfactory self catering accommodation further up the hill. On entering reception we were made to feel immediately welcome and were offered a choice of 2 rooms. We were driven to view them by one of the bellboys and WOW the junior suite V21 was spectacular. The deal they offered us, matched one available online as as we were requiring accommodation immediately we took the suite.
Huge comfortable bed, dressing room, enormous spectacular bathroom with walk in shower, sunken bath, lovely toiletries, loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom! Quiet aircon too! Welcome bottle of sherry and water provided. Later check out not a problem, just ask on the day, we had our room until 4pm which suited us fine.
Lovely terrace, free wifi, Sky sports in the room - great as the Ryder cup was on!
Breakfast was super, thanks to the lovely lady chef on the egg station for making my husband french toast! Loads of fresh fruit, cereals, plenty of cooked choices , breads etc.
We arrived in the middle of the storms which hit Malaga and so we had only 2 of our 4 days at the beach club. Helpful staff again. Lovely comfy loungers, towels provided etc. Drinks are procey but the Mojitos were fabulous!
All in all this hotel rescued our holiday in every sense of the word, we cannot thank them enough. The only service we can compare this hotel to is some of the exclusive hotels in Mexico and so it is very reassuring to know that a 10 hour flight is not required to be pampered and looked after so well.

Room Tip: Ask to see room first, we were shown a selection. Suites are, lovely!

The service was excellent. We stayed in a superior room, breakfast included. It was the best part of our trip. We spent a day on the beach and a morning on the tennis courts. We asked for and received late check out and got great food recommendations.

Room Tip: Spring for the Jr Suite!

The 5 star hotel was beautifully decorated, best breakfast ever! staff lovely, & finally a hotel with a beach at its foot! The pools were also great very quiet(apparently at this time of year).
The massage by the beach fabulous! The hotel is fantastically situated you can walk via the beach to Puerto Banus( 50mins walk), then grab a taxi back, or take a cab or your car to Marbella Casco antiguo lots of great restaurants to choose from! Hotel pretty expensive to eat & drinks be prepared to pay an average of 15 euros for 2 drinks! Hotel was spotless!

Room Tip: if you wan tto be nearer the beach area ask for rooms G upwards, if you would like to be nearer the...

We spent three nights here and I Loved the setting, the gardens and the design of the hotel, it is laid out like a village, very pretty, lots of nice plants and water features. Overall it was a very pleasant experience staying here, I did feel the room needed a little updating and the room service was very slow. In general the food and drinks were expensive but only average in quality but there are other options for eating out. I would still like to return and would recommend it highly.
