We spent three nights here and I Loved the setting, the gardens and the design of the hotel, it is laid out like a village, very pretty, lots of nice plants and water features. Overall it was a very pleasant experience staying here, I did feel the room needed a little updating and the room service was very slow. In general the food and drinks were expensive but only average in quality but there are other options for eating out. I would still like to return and would recommend it highly.

I arrived at night, my first impression was very casual reception and equally casual setting of my junior suite. Can't compare room decor to that of the Ritz. But all good things came in the morning, I decided I will not leave the hotel! Amazing out of this world landscaping, with waterfalls, fountains, water passages defying the best of the best that any Asian 5 stars hotel can offer. My room views, and the overall beach walk ,promenade going to either side fills your heart with joy,day and night , there are restaurants grilling fish and offering Spanish and international cuisine all along the breathtaking beach, and taking a walk with the premises is equally joyful. There is plenty for sports, and keeping fit ...this is the place I highly recommend for total rejuvenation of heart, body and soul. My favorite vacation resort yet!

Room Tip: I always select executive rooms with. Pool view, or sea view. Ask what's available, the scenery...

Already with great aura, service and wonderful restaurants, the rooms themselves have been given a major facelift with high-tech monitors inside (at least in the junior suites!) which enable you to manage every aspect of hotel life - my favourite was ordering room service, complete with pictures of every dish and never needing to call someone. Yes, it's expensive but I feel like the overall experience is worth it. P.S. if you're travelling with a suitcase, bring a tennis racket - great clay courts on site

This hotel/resort is very pretty, we checked in, had to wait an hour for our room to be ready but wasn't a problem as it was lunchtime so we had a nice lunch in the cafe whilst we waited. We had a 1 bed garden view suite which was a good size and clean, had a lovely balcony which was a sun trap so that was well used. The wifi and computer in our room was a nice touch and brilliant for our teenage daughter to use. We felt like we were staying in an andulucian villa... The breakfast was very busy as it was August but there were lots of things to choose from the buffet...the main downside of this resort was the following: shower very slow, rooms getting cleaned late in the day - one day at 6pm when we needed to get ready to go out ..we did complain and they made sure our rooms were cleaned by midday after that.. the beds are singles put together and very hard....the air con was annoying as it was very noisy and blowing onto my side of the bed only all night, which made me very cold and my husband wasn't which wasn't very pleasant...not enough beds around the pool areas - couldn't get a bed in the pool club as people were laying towels out by 8am...so didn't try again...not a lot of staff in the pool areas either - my husband became the bed and parasol mover and only one waiter was taking orders at the bar for drinks so that could be a wait! But it is Spain not the U.S. ! I think we would go back but during a quieter time - I think most hotels suffer during the August holidays because of the sheer number of guests...

Room Tip: if you don't have kids then don't get a room with a pool view - will be very noisy!

Paying 600 euros a night for one of their Junior Deluxe suites is one of the worst decisions I've ever made. To add insult to injury, breakfast wasn't even included. I ordered ice to my room and it took 45 minutes The room hasn't been renovated in 20 years and even then it would have been struggling to be cutting edge. Nothing is 5 star about this place. Not even the sand on the dirty beach. Don't consider this hotel. I don't know who has written the good reviews below but I would disregard them altogether.

Having stayed at some off the best 5* hotels around Europe, this was a real let down. Overal it is no better then a 2*, if you compare it with big city hotels. Pool is filthy, service very average, prices astronomical, and overal seriously dated. Also the management reply to each report on trip advisor is typical off this hotel, no flair & boring. Someone really needs to spend money on the whole place.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your comments. We are surprised that you are not happy about how we address our customers’ complaints; however we find it important to address each client individually.

We are not a City hotel but a resort hotel and strive to keep our guests happy. It’s sad that you seem to think otherwise but we have many returning guests. For the past 20 years we have been constantly investing in different projects to improve our hotel facilities and services. This is one of the reasons that every year we have our regular guests plus other visitors, choosing to come to our resort.

However we thank you again for your comments and we look forward to have the opportunity to welcome you back.

This hotel is better than the trip advisor reviews led me to believe. We had great service at Check in for Ruben on the reception desk. Our room was spacious. There were a few times where it was not cleaned though and we had to ring at 6pm to ask for them to come, although they did when they got the call. The service The beach does get crowded when the hotel is full. The location is good you can get to Puerto Banus for 8 Euros in a taxi or walk in 45 minutes. The gym definitely needs updating. The breakfast was enjoyable, although lacked variety after 6 days. All in all if I were coming back to Marbella I would definitely stay here. I think the prices in the Spa were too high, and perhaps if they lowered them a bit they would have more business.
