“Flattering course in great condition!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

approx 10 year old American style course. Well maintained and managed, a pleasure to play for hackers and experienced golfers. Well designed with nice flat fairways and good sized greens to work with. Sand is more like grit and bunkers are mostly flat. There is a wide storm drain cutting through the lower part of the course that is the only real hazard. Some water on the 12th hole but other than that its pretty friendly, a real contrast to most of the neighboring courses. Nice wide practice areas driving range and good quality chipping and putting greens so get there early!

Panoramic views across the coast at the higher points and a great value cafe to have a bite and a drink at the end. The pro shop is ridiculously expensive.

Electric buggies have cooler boxes that they used to fill with water bottles but now have fountains dotted around the course.

“Golf factory”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2012

Very focused on maximum throughput it is an interesting but not exceptional course that is let down by the lay out around the 18th green, first tee, ten tenth tee area which can lead to a crush of golfers and some confusing rights of passage. Bar is pleasant but expensive

“Best Greens I have played for a year.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2012

It's nice to open a golf tour with a hole that you can open your shoulders on a drive. I was amazed at the quality of the first green, and the course just got better and better. You do have to take a buggy because of the distance from some greens to tees. We use Elite Golf Services to make our booking and I recommend them

“Magical”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2012

Santa Clara Golf Marbella is well worth visiting even if you've never teed off in your life. The course is stunning.. Part of it has a stream running through, there is a lake, water details, beautiful old trees and green greens. Very well kept and managed. The clubhouse is attractive. There's an upstairs restaurant with a huge terrace that overlooks the course and has views to the sea. Easily found, just past the Hospital Costa del Sol.
