We have just returned from a week at this hotel, the first time in the region for us. Hotel very friendly, clean, quiet, food very good and most of all, friendly staff. We loved the late evening dinners, when the subtly lit dining room was peaceful. Our room, a standard room with a view of the gardens, was large and very comfortable with a bathroom to match. Sadly I had to write a critical review of a 5 star hotel in Gran Canaria last January but everything was so different in the Coral Beach. We would use an Iberostar hotel again.

Room Tip: We would avoid a pool view as the terrace bar area is poolside and can be noisy. Garden rooms such as ours was very quiet.

We have just returned from a week long stay at the Iberostar Coral Beach and had a really great time. I agree with other reviewers in that the hotel is looking a little tired now but it has been well maintained and the staff were completely fantastic and very helpful. We had a lovely side sea view room which was clean and tidy (but dated), whilst our sons were across the hall, their room was nice but needed some maintenance. The pool and gardens are lovely and no scramble for sun beds in the morning as there are plenty. You can pay to have a sun bed with a sea view at the near by beach club but we felt it was too expensive to do this every day for the 4 of us. The breakfast was AMAZING! so much choice and constantly replenished. Definately try the wonderful omelettes by the lovely chef who was always smiling! Shame the restaurant is in the basement as it was quite dark (not helped by the colour choice on the walls), we may have chosen to have an evening meal here but preferred to make the most of the warm evenings and sit above ground. Just one small criticism - trying to find the restaurant on the first morning was really tricky as we were on the opposite wing of the hotel - please Iberostar - more signs on the walls as you descend the stairs so you at least know you are going in the right direction (if you use the lift you'll be fine). The location of this hotel is perfect - the 15 minute stroll along the beachside promenade to puerto banus is just lovely.
All in all I would definately recommend this hotel - great staff, fantastic breakfast, perfect location for two adults needing some relaxtion and two teenagers needing some night life.

Room Tip: The side sea view rooms are definately worth while.

We are just back from our trip 22-31 August to the Marbella and Puerto Banus area. This time we had chosen the Marbella side of Puerto Banus which we did not regret. We stayed in a nice superior room with a terrace overlooking the pool. We were a bit worried that we would be disturbed by noise from the pool, but this was not the case. The room was just as niced as it looked in the picture (maybe even nicer). The food was very good. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide selection of dishes for every taste. We had booked a room with the bed and breakfast option, but it was possible to upgrade to halfboard, fullboard or all inclusive and it was also possible to buy a meal from the lunch or dinner buffet or the a la carte restaurant at the beach club belonging to the hotel. We tested both the beach club and the dinner buffet and found that the buffet was OK for getting a good meal for a reasonable price, but the beach club is the place to go if you want to enjoy a very good lunch or dinner with the best local dishes.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the beach, a twenty minutes walk to Puerto Banus and a 10 minutes taxi ride to Marbella. The airport at Malaga is only 45 minutes away if you get one of the low flying taxi drivers.

One of the best memories from our trip is the friendly atmosphere at this beautiful hotel. Everybody is smiling and is looking happy. They really make an effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable. A typical example is the girl serving vegetables at the flamenko and grill party at the beach club. She answers every request with a smile and "no problem".

The only thing we did not like with the hotel is that you have to pay extra for use of the safe installed in the room. You also have to pay for using the WiFi in the hotel. 30 minutes a day is free if you go and sit in the bar, but that is worth nothing since the bandwith is low and the procedure for logging on and opening a session is very complicated and it times out after some minutes inactivity. Here is room for improvement!

If we look at everything our opinion of the hotel is very POSITIVE and we would like to go back there another time.

This was our third trip to Marbella and the Puerto Banus area. Having stayed at the Iberostar Grand in Punta Cana on a number of occasions, we decided to try their hotel in Marbella. It turned out to be a wise decision. We had a lovely, comfortable junior suite, overlooking the pool and a wiew of the sea. We opted to get their "all inclusive plus plan", which gave us unlimited food and drinks for the seven days that we were there.
We found that the locatiion was convenient to the center of Puerto Banus. About 15 minutes along a lovely walk along the water. There is a seperate beach club, if the pool is not satisfactory, or to your liking. We also found that they had more than enough lounges, and couches, by the pool that one did not have to get up at dawn to reserve a pool spot.
All of the staff that we came in contact with, were more than helpful, and were willing to go that little extra to make your stay a pleasant one.
Their restaurrant is buffet style with an excellent variety of dishes for every palate. If you don't see it, they are also willing to whip it up for you, if it's available.
We found the hotel had an excellent staff, excellent accomodations in their junior suites, excellent service, excellent location to Puerto Banus, excellent food, and most important, excellent price for "all inclusive".

Room Tip: Upper floors have better view of the sea.

The hotel is really the most beautiful one on the whole costline !! POSITIVE : It's on the beach, has 2 pools one in the beach house and the other in the hotel area ( both outdoors ). It's so clam and clean and the employees are very nice and helpful !! The breakfast is amazing, anyone can find something they might like. The location is also great because its between the Marbella old town and the Porto Banus !! The beach is breathtaking and its near a banana/jet ski/etc.. place. NEGATIVE: Its expensive and you have to pay to everything. I mean they charge you per 10 min for the internet ! who does that ?! I've never seen a hotel where you have to pay for the facilities like that. Sun beds, sauna, jacuzzi .... but other then that it was an amazing experience. If i ever went to Marbella again i would go back to that hotel !
