We were recommended this restaurant by the concierge at our hotel and it was a great recommendation. The staff were very friendly, the tapas was great and there was a fantastic atmosphere. There were also many loacals eating here, which is always the sign of a good restaurant.

I first came here in 2000 with friends and have returned on every subsequent visit to marbella. The decor and menu havent changed much over the years but it has become more mainstream and popular with tourists - saying that I was the only non spaniard eating there on my last visit.

Everything that ive had off the menu has been excellent, and the seafood specials are definately worth trying. The waiter thought we ordered too much (we did order a lot!) but nothing was left. Maybe 10 dishes, a bottle of wine and two glasses of patcheran was just over 50 euros.

My wife is spanish and she has recommended the place to her family. What more can I say.

We ate at this place twice during our holiday, as it was quite close to our hotel, and also because we really enjoyed the first night!
Delicious and reasonably priced wine, followed by a plethora of tapas dishes. Each dish was very tasty - the pimientos de padron, gambas pil pil, morcilla, lamb skewers in particular!
Service is a little slow due to so many people, but the buzz and atmosphere from so many people eating on the street gives the whole place a lovely feel.

I have been here a couple of times now, with local friends. It is a very typical Spanish tapas place but not heavily commercialised like so many of the other places on the front near the beach. We had lunch and shared some really delicious tapas dishes - the cod in batter is done so lightly, it tastes so yummy! All the dishes are done really well and it is good value too. I will definitely be back!!!

If you go anywhere in Spain and you want good tapas, go to the place where you see a high concentration of Spanish people!

We found this little gem using that logic and we kept coming back for more.

You see, Marbella is beautiful and has a lovely old town but if you're down on the sea front and looking for dinner you really have to navigate yourself safely through a whole pile of over priced rip off restaurants, where you are basically paying for a view and not good food!

I understand that there are many families that visit, so generic 'family' menus are all the rage, but if you want some proper tapas simply wander 100 yards or so up from the promenade and you're in for a treat!

The patatas bravas are superb - almost a mix of picante and ali-oli, providing a warmth from the chilli and a proper punch of flavour from the garlic to keep you coming back until the whole plate of perfectly crispy little tatties are gone!

Gambas pil-pil, embutidos and ensalada de pimientos were favourites of ours too.

Plus, house wine is delicious and at 2 euros a glass the bill was generally only about 15 euros per person for a lot of food and drink!

As I said, it's a gem!
