Had drinks and tapas here this week, the lovely waiter Antonio recommended the king prawn skewers I was not disappointed, for €5 a very well presented portion of grilled king prawns pil pil.
I returned a few days later and had the pulpo Gallego which was just fabulous. I would really recommend this dish.
House wine is very reasonable and very good.
I think that this is a very authentic Spanish tapas bar. The service is excellent. It is a wonderful experience. Try it.

We had a meal here whilst at Alanda Club. We ordered 8 dishes between the 2 of us, and whilst some were good some were not. The Calamari, Meatballs and Oxtail were good, though the Oxtail was a little greasy for my tastes but my wife loved it. The Pepper Salad and the Sausage in Wine were not that good.

Price wise we found it a bit dear for a Tapas bar, but the biggest negative for us was the lack of a no smoking area. The dishaes also came out in dribs and drabs over a 30 minute period instead of all together as we wanted them.

This is located in the same shopping center as the SuperSol, at the Elvira exit - 192 off the A7 (near the Marriott Marbella Beach Resort). They have wonderful tapas. Portions come in tapas, 1/2 racion (1/2 portion) and racion (full portion.) We got the fried cheese with jam, which in tapas was 4 breaded cheese cubes, fried, with a very good jelly on top. We got a 1/2 racion of paella which was very good (it's Spain!!), the fried eggplant with honey. The latter turned out to be eggplant sliced up like French Fries, fried, with a touch of honey on top. We got the skewer of shrimp. And I can't remember what else. Everything was excellent. Note that refrescos is soft drinks. There is only bottled water, and everything is a la carte. The whole bill came out to about 30 euros for 2 people, which was very reasonable.

The waiter's knowledge of English was minimal.

If you are easily intimidated and do not enjoy razamataz places then this restaurant may not be for you!
If you are in a party let the most outgoing one lead the rest in the ordering, if you dont want the specials say so, tell them what you want and enjoy!
Any where offering specials will be doing an upsell and will obviously cost more than standard fayre so if you are on a budget stick to the tapa or half portions, racion orders will be accepted but i doubt you will eat more that 2 or 3 and its so easy to get taken for a ride by the hunger train when ordering.
My recommedation will always be Paella (lunch only), Chicken curry (amazing), Russian salad (very filling), Calamares (best I have had for the price) and the bread is fab!
You have to say to yourself why on a really chilly night, in January, in Elviria would you struggle to get a table? No brainer... a real good old fashioned Spanish Tapas bar.
