Hidden away in a quaint part of Marbella, we loved this restaraunt. Echo all the good reviews on here - food was great, ambience fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed the evening spent here. Recommend a visit if in the area!

La Tienda has always been known for the atmosphere that comes with its stunning location, hidden away in the small community La Virginia. Narrow cobbled paths and stunning bougainvillea welcome you into this small hamlet. I've been there many, many times, and lived through several different owners and I have to say that the new owners are doing a fabulous job. The food is delicious, the atmosphere reminds me of how it was when I was young, when it was one of the most popular restaurants in town. If you're looking to take friends on a special treat, this is the place to go!

We read the reviews of La Tienda and decided that we had to go there during a recent visit. We were not disappointed. Located in an older residential area, it is surrounded by trees, shrubs and beautiful old houses. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food - pate and goats cheese salad to start, and seared tuna to follow - was amazing. The tuna was slightly overdone, and when they saw that it was, they immediately replaced it, and the chef appeared at our table to apologise! The ideal setting for a romantic dinner, but there were also several groups of local people who clearly dine there often. If you want amazing food, great, friendly service and to be away from the crowds, you cannot miss La Tienda.

Wow what a great place, tucked away in a little urbanization so it feels super cozy and intimate. The menu was great, one of the few restaurants I've been to lately that you have trouble choosing from the menu because you want to try so many of the dishes! And- it tasted as good as I was hoping! Owners were so nice, they really took care of us and made us feel very special indeed. Would definitely recommend it and will certainly be going back soon!

Let me say that this is the cutest location and nicest atmosphere and I love La Virginia where the restaurant is located. The service was fine. We started with excellent croquetas of ox tail that were on the house and nice warm bread with exquisite Olive Oil (we had to request the oil : should have put it on the table to start ).The actual porcelain Plates were hot and bread was nice and warm which is a good sign. The prices were high on the menu. Tuna steaks with onions was average (such a difficult fish to serve) . It has to be crispy on the outside and red in the middle seared at a high temperature. Pork cheeks were cooked well , but the sauce had no bite or flavor. If this was 1980's Marbella I would say this was a very good restaurant compared to what was around at the time. But they need to modernize and get a bit sexy w/ the food. I suppose there are some people who like plain . Starter spinach salad with scallops OK . Again dressing was So So. Desert was chocolate mousse and some creamy thing with no identity . Both looked like they were dried up in the refrigerator for week or so. The staff were super and friendly . House wine was good and servings were generous ! Nice Ribera del duero served at the right temperature !!!! Came out to 40€ per person. Want a romantic night ? Go to La Tienda .
