“an experience!”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

calima is not exactly a authentic, easy place serving generous food but if you're into presentation, mise-en-scene and a never ending menu of bite-size portions, it's worth the detour! it can last a few hours so you'll need patience but the menu is exceptional and (which I think is very important) the home-baked breads are to die for.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

Food = 2* Michelin, well deserved and unique
Staff & Service= 0* rubbish and rude, unprofessional.
It's a big shame a restaurant such as Calima would have a terrible/slow/impolite service and staff. But the tasting menu is a piece of Art. Well done Chef!

“Extraordinary”

Just a fantastic experience.
Great art produced in that kitchen and brought to our table.
And the service was just perfect, making it a great evenkng.
The interior in the restaurant is classy. So a little laughter from us all, when the trolly with the chocolate to coffee arrived: Pink and white formed as wedding cake with 5 stages. About one meter high. Rolling that through the restaurant that are solely black, steel and glass gets attention.

“Unbelievable Food, Great Chef”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

The chef Dani Garcia has put together an amazing menu which highlights his talents. My wife and I had the 9 course tasting tapas menu followed by a lobster dish for her and a beef tenderloin for me. The service is excellent as is the food. The restaurant is modern and the tables are far apart. This is a once in a life time experience eating in a Michelin 2 star restaurant. Go for the experience and to heighten your taste buds.. .

“Food as art”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We entered this minimalistic food temple not sure what to expect. The room is light with huge windows overlooking the ocean. The service from you enter the room is impeccable, as one expects from a restaurant at this level.

We ordered the Menu Oximoron and started the adventure of 23 dishes. If you go to this restaurant expecting normal food, you will be dissapointed. The small elegant dishes are a challenge both in tastes and texture.

We did not like every dish,we did not expect to. But most of them were both interesting, tasty and different.
