“Nice Trip Along the Coast”

Fly Blue Gran Catamaran
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed November 2, 2013

We had heard about this from another TA member, so decided to give it a try. We were staying in Puerto Banus, so caught the bus into Marbella to return on Fly Blue.
We were fortunate to get the sailing with the catamaran and enjoyed our trip along the coastline with the water lapping just beneath our feet.

Terrible outfit and most unhelpful. Do NOT try to come on board with ANY type of camera. You may be banned. "Professional cameras" are not welcome. My 6MP Nikon D40, about five years old, was deemed to be a professional camera. I was denied boarding. I phones the company and was on the line with an uninformed, touchy and plain rude lady - about as rude as the company's quay side ticket salesperson - who was unable to help, got upset at my audacity to complain and proceeded to suggest I board without the camera. Ruined an otherwise nice vacation day.

Having being visiting Puerto Banus for nearly 20 years, we have seen the area develop, and so it is with Ferry Fly Blue. In the old days a wooden vessel ferried people back and forth between Puerto Banus and Marbella. Now they have upgraded with to vessels, Ferry Fly Blue Uno and Ferry Fly Blue Dos (1 & 2). Uno is a pure ferry, but Dos is a catamaran which allows passengers to have a swim, ride a banana boat. Two different boats. Both a bit expensive, but hang on, you are in an expensive area worth a visit.
